Quachir and her cubs - WIP by Quachir Quachir and her cubs - WIP by Quachir
One day you will do great things my children. But now think not of those days and sleep the starry night away as the great kings and queens of the past watch over us and give their blessings on this night of your birth.
~Queen Quachir's thoughts to her cubs.

I'm not yet finished with this image (need to figure out how to make their pelts look like they're in the night and not the day, plus hopefully shadowing) but I couldn't help but want to post it.

As is obvious by the tiltle, this is Queen Quachir and her cubs, newborns to be exact, probably only a day or less old. As some may reconize, the cub facing the onlooker is Raven, just barely younger than her brother Tusco who has taken up Quachir's right forleg as his pillow for the night.

I tried some new things though very low tech in this image such as bluring the spots I'd created to make them look more star like. I used this also on the entrance to the Thallein Pride's cave (yes I just recently named my pridelander pride as well as my outlander pride)... yeah that's supposed to be part of the rocky entrance, not just some random huge rock.

Comments on this are heavily welcomed and looked for.

Awwwwwwww! I can't believe this doesn't have more comments. The story and the piccy are so cute and adorable. *huggles the cubs* I don't have any suggestions on how to make the pelts look like they're in nighttime. I haven't figured out how to do that on my own pics yet. :( But if I do figure out, I'll let you know. :D

The cubs are sooooooooo cute. *huggles them* And so are their sleeping expressions. I luvs them. Lions are my favorite felines. I had a stuffed lion when I was about five years old that I'd named Butter. But he got lion-napped from me and mom said I cried for a week, lol.

But now I have two more lions. :D One roughly a foot long that I've had since I was about eight years old, I believe, and I named him Butter the II after my old one. And now a second one that I got about a year and a half to two years ago that I named Butter the III, lol.

I actually did figure out how to do the night shading for the fur, but haven't posted it here... pretty much waiting till I feel inpired enough to go and put in the shadowing; that will be the real pain for me ;)

Thanks for the comment, this one's one of my favorites as well even if it's not fully compleat.

Ooh! I can definately see a difference! I think the updated one is much better adapted to the night scene. But both are still gorgeous. I still can't stop from oohing and awing over the cute little cubs. And mommy looks very protective. Its soooo cute. *hugs the pics*
