Exquisite Linheraptor

Research into China's Bayan Mandahu site in the Neimongol Autonomous Region (bearing that portion of the Gobi Desert that reaches into China) typically has recovered a fauna that is remarkably consistent with that known from the Djadokhta of Mongolia. Enough so, that for decades, the Bayan Mandahu area was simply regarded as a portion of Djadokhta-like beds. With the recovery of some new fossils, such as Linheraptor above, this is changing, and the taxa we know may be much more regionally specific.
