Gift - Legacy of Bractus

Description

A relatively quick gift for :iconreptilecynrik:: a theme for one of the heroes' father in his story. Check it out here when you can (bear in mind: most of it is in German).

While a dark theme, the character himself is categorized as a villain in his story, hence, the Amnesia-like atmosphere. Since his son respects him in some ways, however, I threw in the choir and (processed) tubular bells to implement his impact on the world.

Hello!

That's a surprise... and most likely the FIRST time that anyone (excluding myself) did something for this character. IN fact, the man "Bractus Primor" is a person, I don't have much use for. He was a cruel king back in the "old days" of the "GREAT WAR".
Yeah, a very cruel guy... but Xevon's dad, nevertheless.
I never pictured a musical theme for him... and there is almost NO visual material on him, either.

About your song.

It starts – as expected – very deep and dark… atmospheric choirs, deep dark voices. The church bells add a nice flair to this unholy, scary environment.
As a matter of fact, I had to think about a “selection screen” from a strategy game (Such as STARCRAFT, for example)… you can see a space map of some sort and… you can select any planet or star system you want to travel to. ^__^
Hey, it even reminds me of “EVE” and “METROID” a little bit… yes. The “METROID” saga has similar moments, for example, when you have to investigate the frigate (SNES, METROID 3) at the beginning of the game.
The overall ambient is solid and simple in construction. There are mainly three chords, which repeat most of the time. The synthetic voices add a certain “demonic” and “unreal” feeling to it… which is quite fitting to an evil character. After all, such character must not be glorified!

You said yourself, this was a rather quick work… well, it has something of a “musical sketch”. I like it very much but – of course – it’s more a short “in between ambient” song.
But as a matter of fact, I picture Bractus… who’s talking in a deep, snarling voice… he’s talking about evil plans and this song could easily play while he’s talking.

All in all, it’s a solid theme, the three main chords work well and the feeling is pretty good. I mean… the ambient is great… it’s a dark mood, an evil expression. ^_^

Thank you very much!!!!!!!!! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":-)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="392" title=":-) (Smile)"/> That's highly appreciated.
