Janice Portia's 'Puma' by Pyrosity Janice Portia's 'Puma' by Pyrosity
Been meaning to do something like this for quite some time now, pretty happy with the results.

Janice's Puma is a unique refurbishing of a retired Rycker-Mason Zephyr class police interceptor. With the help of her good friend Ko Yomato - an experienced shipbuilder - she reconfigured the hull around her own personal tastes and what was available on the backwater market of the Inner belt trade stations.

Keeping most of the core parts and frame, the surviving port engine, and cockpit, a light freighter engine was substituted for the starboard engine, and all the original armament was stripped in favor of cheaper, lighter, and more reliable alternatives. Sitting above the cockpit is a 57mm light repeating cannon, and two .90 caliber very heavy machine guns were mounted inside the port wing in place of the old torpedo tubes. Simple clamp-release missile brackets were added on the starboard wing, allowing for use of any standard-pattern missiles.

When complete, the asymmetrical and junker-looking Puma sported even more firepower than the original Zephyr, and more maneuvering potential thanks to the freighter engine and attitude control jets meant to power a cargo ship - the lightweight Puma was easily able to outrun and outgun its parent ship.

The job cost Janice most of her savings at the time, and she had to take out a loan to complete it. Afterward she spent most of her time as a freelancer working to pay off Mr. Yamato.

Minus the landing gear and gun, this looks like an F-Zero car. Which is a good thing.

Thank you! I'm always a huge fan of painted nose tips, on anything; I think it gives it a sense that the pilot isn't just any rank-and-file, and rather has some significance :) Of course, with the rest of the paint job on this the way it is, that's not a hard conclusion to make.
