Abandoned Lab by Pyrosity Abandoned Lab by Pyrosity
Posting some work from life painting 2 at RMCAD. I had trouble photographing these (my basement is not very ideal a location...but it's the only space I have to do so) so they've got some nasty on them, glare from the lights etc. Tried to clean them up best I could in photoshop though.

Two Stalkers explore an abandoned underground lab in the zone; one with a decidedly more jovial mood.

I love the mood setter here.

Espcially the seemingly random happy moment on the guy with the autoshotgun face.

He's got his loonyface on :3 When I was flipping through the reference photos I took while we were posing the models, that expression just demanded to be used. It's so quirky and wry.

That guy on the right is creeping me out. I don't trust him.

Wait for daylight, that's the only way I'm able to take decent shots of mine.

Alternatively, buy a super cheap scanner (I saw one at Fry's today for $20), take the lid off, scan it in parts and then re-assemble it in the image editor of your choosing.

I do have a rather large scanner that would be perfect for the job, but the damned thing is so ancient that it connects with a SCSI port and even though I've got an old machine I can hook it up to that runs win2000, I lost the drivers for it at some point and have been unable to find them ever since.

It's rather frustrating actually XD The scanner itself is great, it's very big and the top can accommodate thick books and things while still closing.

When I was browsing the reference photos I took, I saw one where he had that expression and just had to put it in because ... it's just so manic and ridiculous, I love the character it gives him.
