ASUN Type-41W 'Anvil' by Pyrosity ASUN Type-41W 'Anvil' by Pyrosity
I'm very happy with how this mech turned out, except maybe the feet. Fucking feet, I can never get them to look really good in perspective; the one in profile is exactly what I was shooting for.

Armed with two side pods carrying NG-12 Sextant MkII machineguns and a KB-105 50mm static cannon, as well as coaxial NG-04 and 20mm multilaunchers, it's got a lot of firepower. It's also a prime example of how the ASUN adapted shared microservo technology from the ADA, developing their own unique balancing system for walkers.

ADA walkers are very fast and agile, they must slow down dramatically when encountering rough terrain. ASUN walkers, though generally slower than their ADA counterparts, are able to effectively navigate the worst uneven terrain at only slightly reduced speed. Each is a byproduct of the respective factions' home turf - the ADA operating mostly in and around the ISS, with it's smooth ramps and driveways, and the ASUN having to deal with more natural above-ground terrain.

I love the turret on this bad boy. It's like a hat that's willing to kick someone's ass.

The feet look fucken fine! =P Great even.
I like the design of this mech, seems like a very logical one to be really built, for its like a tank, but more nimble at moving around.
Awesome job overall =D

Thank you! :)

I think I'm really starting to prefer designing mechs with the small turret on top for the main gun with the cockpit and such acting more as a fused ribcage/pelvis structure, not rotating itself. Allows me to give it a more "armored" feel I guess; a lot of mechs that have a rotating main body above a pelvic structure that the legs attach to appear weaker.

true, depends how the upper body is designed though, like the walkers from Battlefield 2142.
