We went yesterday with our other chinchilla to a check-up to a new vet. He seemed to have more knowledge about exotic animals than the other vets. He managed to provide us a few more info about them that we didn't already know from what we read. So, apparently, everything is fine. 
I was getting paranoid after what happened. And I think I will be this way for a long time. ( sigh )
This is my fairytale ... this is my happily ever after ... I love you,
