Apple Jack by purenightshade Apple Jack by purenightshade
I was baby sitting some kittens (again) on Thursday. I needed something to do that wouldn't require a lot of getting up and moving around. Last time I had these kittens I spent the day covered in them. Literally. I've been wanting to sew but with our plans of moving this summer I didn't want to make things that I'd have to pack. Cross stitch is nice and flat and easy to move, so I decided on that. I found a bunch of great free patterns here on dA. Can't go wrong with ponies, right? I had most of AJ's colours already, so I started with her.

I made a few mistakes. There's some counting errors in her hair, head, and the right eye (our right). I also used a different yellow for the inside of her hair. The one suggested looks kind of...gross. I wound up using DMC 3078 instead. All the other colours are the same as what the pattern.

I'll be doing more of these, but I think I'm going to make my own patterns after this. I like Agen'tLiri's patterns, but I'd rather use my own for something like this. It's not that hard, actually. Made a Dr. Whooves one this morning.

Pattern is by *AgentLiri

This is very nice! I would never have the patience to do one of these!

I find this to be a nice thing to do while watching a movie. I can't often sit without my hands doing something.

Although, I'm thinking I need to start making these smaller as it takes forever to do and uses a lot of floss.

This is really awesome! Totally something worth selling at a convention if you ironed/stretched it and framed it. ^_^

I plan on making a whole bunch of these for my next con. This one I think I'm going to clean up and frame for Aislyn to put on her wall when we buy our new house.

They would probably be a decent seller. ^_^

Hee, Aislyn is so lucky to have a mommy that makes so many awesome things.
