A Story for the God King

Ehem...so this is my first fan art from the book "Warbreaker," by Brandon Sanderson. It shows Siri reading to Susebron, the God King of Hallandren, out of his book "Stories for Children." The white of Siri's clothes is being bent by the force of the God King's "biochroma," which is why it's all rainbowish....Yeah. You kinda have to read the book to get it. I love Susebron. He is so.... Siri and Susebron are married, but because of the circumstances under which they met (which I won't say anything about because that would be giving things away) it takes them quite a while to fall in love. Wow. Epic fail at leaving out the spoilers. Anyway, I find them to be one of the most adorable couples ever.

I realize that the room is supposed to be pretty much all black, but that was causing problems so I took some artistic liberty with it. I hope Siri doesn't look too horribly young. She is only 17, but people used to get married way earlier than that so....yeah. Btw do you say his name suh-SEB-ron?

Anyway, I have no idea why parts of the picture look so...pixely and crappy. Doing dark-on-dark throughout the whole picture seemed to mess with the program or something. Looks almost like hard water stains or something... I used Gimp 2.6, my Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet, and some very helpful tutorials, most of which can be accessed from my favorites. Enjoy!
