This is a drawing i made for my Mod/Mission for D2X-XL (Descent 2) '
umo Mines: Kartsal Motivation'. He's one of the characters of PM story.
This is the official picture of 'umi' you'll see during briefing sequences. You will notice his full name on the Deviation title 
He's from Pumoland (a country created by Nerkians on a post-apocalyptic earth without humans)
It was originally drawn on paper using standard pencil, then scanned (well, photographed actually) to the computer and colored/shaded (and also some enhanced outlining) digitally.
Done using PSP 9.
