This was just something I was thinking about the other day, I feel the key to being a great photographer lies in three things:

1) Skill as a photographer

How to compose your photos, where to stand, knowing the limits and capabilities of your camera and being able to use that knowledge to its fullest.

2) The camera itself

A dSLR camera is preferable, but its not the end all solution for everyone, a big zoom point and shoot and a fancier pocket point n shoot camera will work well as well, but remember a camera can have all the capability in the world, if you dont know how to use it, you aren't going to get anything good out of it.

3) Post Processing

This is where good photos turn great, where you adjust the levels and color balance and sharpness to tweak your photo and make it really stand out. Photoshop is the most common one, but there are others out there that do the job as well and are slightly simpler to use.

Master all three and your photos will delight and amaze all that lay eyes on them :la:

Yup... I still tinker with my camera when I'm not taking photos. And for some reason it feels like the Canon EF-S 55-250mm focuses a little better than the 18-55mm at times, my pictures using that lens seem to come out looking slightly better and cleaner, but I dunno. Lol

I dont really use my 55-250 unless im taking photos at an air show, so i dont get enough use out of it to compare it to my main lens.

Aha, try it at an elevated station somewhere and you'll really notice the clarity
