Hi Ink Geeks, today I present you a multichromatic ink, it's Pennonia Balaton-kek. (Pelikan 400 - OM …..Pennonia Balaton-kek) Here is a little comparison with other multichromatic inks with a similar color I own: Being an ink on the dry side it works best with nibs having a good flow. In general you can expect a stronger multicolor effect using broader nibs with a generous flow. As quite low saturated ink it also cleans out easy from your pens. Imo no risk of staining something permanent with it. Lets now look at my usage samples. First some writing: No complains at all, it is very well behaving in this vintage Pelikan 400N from the 1950s with an oblique medium nib. I've used 90gsm Clairefontaine paper (my favorite writing paper). (Pelikan 400 - OM …..Pennonia Balaton-kek) But this ink is not only a very nice writing ink which gives you nice shadings and a unobstrusive multi color effect, it is also a very nice drawing and painting ink.
