Yazeh1 pointed me through his artworks to the story of "The Adventures of Quin and Makhabesh" written by Liz McGuire (he also drawn Makhabesh and his friends).

Liz does quite good and a lot ink reviews on youtube:
and she thought instead of writing an arbitrary writing sample to tell a story instead.


The outcome was/is "The Adventures of Quin and Makhabesh":

Check it out, he reviewed almost 200 inks while telling the story.

I started to read the story and thought I have to create also a picture of Makhabesh the little Sphinx as I imagine him.

The piece show Makhabesh with the magical fountain pen of the Wizard Quin in part 2 "The Oily Adventure"

I´ve drawn Makhabesh with fountain pen and colored it afterwards using watercolor markers which I blended in with a brush.
