Princess Birdo and Super Yoshi

Debuted at Dragon Con 2013 - Photoshoot at AWA 2013

I have loved Birdo since she was added to the more "playful" Mario games & when FellHarbor mentioned wanting to make a Yoshi mascot, I jumped at the chance to bring this fabulous dino to life!

We enjoy engaging in the Exhibition portion of the Costume Contest and since we are always first out (Hot & Bulky Exhibition), we thought it would be silly to have a little fun with it!

The head was beautifully constructed by FellHarbor; I just put her makeup on! I made the bodysuit, feet, gloves & egg purse. I am also wearing padding to create a more circular body shape & the tail is on an elastic-belt that is stuffed into the suit. (It was a challenge to re-pattern the bodysuit to have the tail not be a separate piece, but it was totally worth it!) In return for FellHarbor's hard work on my head, I sewed her Yoshi bodysuit.

I made Birdo's dress and Yoshi's shirt; the petticoat and hat were purchased. I bought a child's crown and made some adjustments to it
