Bunker Valentin 14 by PsykoHilly Bunker Valentin 14 by PsykoHilly

In March 1945, the bunker was almost complete, needing only some ceiling reinforcements at the western end. An air raid by the British Allied forces on 27 March saw two bombs penetrate this section of the roof, causing irreparable damage. The construction work ceased in early April and most of the foreign civil forced workers were left to their own devices. The concentration camp inmates were taken to the Neuengamme concentration camp as well to the Sandbostel POW camp – a death march which resulted in many more victims.
