Project Seeds - Vash's Custom .45 Revolver by Psygriffio Project Seeds - Vash's Custom .45 Revolver by Psygriffio
Love, Peace, and Vash the Stampede.

Made from scratch, out of soft pine wood, and developed in two separate pieces.

In 2001, I was fortunate enough to debut it (alongside my "Dark Vash" threads) at the Otakon convention; in Baltimore, Maryland.  Just so happened, that the creator of the show (Yasuhiro Nightow) was also making a special appearance.

On Sunday, there was a last-chance autograph panel; to meet all the Japanese guests.  I just barely made it, and was last in line.

When I met Mr. Nightow, he instantly asked to personally see and hold the prop.  He seemed amazed by it, and said how impressed by the quality of craftsmanship; it was.  He passed it about to the other Japanese guests, who were equally complimentary.

Shortly thereafter, Mr. Nightow asked me, if he could keep it.  Certainly humbled, I kindly requested if he wouldn't mind simply signing it.  That it would be a very personal treasure to me.  He kindly obliged, and then asked if he could get a quick photo together.  Sadly, a con-staffer jumped-in, and said they had to leave immediately; for their flight.  Nevertheless, I thanked him for his kindness.

Later in 2002, I had the privilege of meeting Johnny Yong Bosch (the English voice of "Vash").  Upon seeing the creator's signature he asked "Hey, can you introduce me?  I'd love to say hello."  Flattered again, I informed Mr. Bosch that Mr. Nightow had attended the previous year, and wasn't immediately present.  Johnny was also happy to sign it, and once again honored me on the construction of the piece.  The final signature is from the Anime's Producer: Masao Maruyama.

Since then, it's taken a fair share of bumps and bruises; but still holds-up great.  Thank you everyone, for all that you do.

Dude, this is awesome! Glad I was able to find this after you told me about it. :D I'd love to see it in person sometime. >u<

I also got to meet Johnny Yong Bosch over at Anime Oasis Saga in Boise. I've got a few signatures from him, too, as well as from Sonny Strait. ^u^
