featured on reddit!Woke up last Saturday to discover youtube sub notifications pouring into my email. One of the subscribers I thanked told me that my Fallout 4 gameplay video had been featured on reddit and that's how I'd gotten all the new subs:
Quite overwhelming! One of the comments was lovely, it said that I obviously hadn't gotten on the bandwagon recently to make money but that I'd been on YouTube nearly 11 years and obviously love making videos and that was my primary motive. And that's exactly how it is. I love it, it's my niche.
Going from 630 to nearly a thousand subs is amazing! What a ride!

introducing my musician son, JEREMY HUNTERJeremy's Youtube Channel:
My Youtube Channel:
Jeremy Hunter is a songwriter and producer from Brisbane, Australia, who just happens to be my son. This promo video has excerpts of his current weekly podcasts, original songs and covers. It was my idea to promote his channel on youtube and because I love his music. I am the editor of this video.
He has formed bands, performed since teen years, his songs played on radio, discovered by TripleJ Unearthed, travelled to the UK with his music, a full history of musical endeavour.
Many of his songs are melancholy yet beautiful ruminations on love, loss, dreams and death which spring from personal experience. He strives to retain a tenderness in his music whilst exploring emotionally complex territory.
Jeremy both plays and produces entirely on his own, showcasing both his production skills and talents as a multi-instrumentalist. The results are lush layered w

Break an arm, not a legI had a serious fall last September and broke my arm; it will take another year to come completely good. But in the last week I've been back in Fallout 4! Bliss!

gaming treats!Loving FarCry 4 (scenery to die for!):
Rise of the Tomb Raider (finished but @ around 98% completion with a couple of hard-to-find collections illuding me):
and Fallout 4 (started yesterday and loving it!):
I'm addicted - to the games and my new rig & gaming keyboard!!
FINALLY! FarCry4 on new rig and keyboardA couple of days ago I bought a new laptop for gaming (to replace my Vista 5+ year old laptop which is dying by degrees), plus a gaming keyboard. Fan-bloody-tastic!!
Hubby gave me FarCry4 18 months ago but we didn't realise it was OS-dependent so of course my Vista wouldn't play it. So it's super cool to have a fast gaming rig that will play all the modern games. I'm looking to get Rise of the Tomb Raider as well, plus FarCry Primal...eventually.
Started playing FarCry4 last night and the graphics are super terrific (laptop is plugged into my flatscreen monitor). I have an NVidia 2Gb GeForce 940MX graphics card. The keyboard is very responsive and an added plus is now I can see the keys in the dark - good for my eyes.
Oh, and I really like Windows 10 shock horror!
Excuse all the superlatives while I go back to playing

New ArtRage video: Drawing Rough Face SketchesA few little rough sketches of faces in ArtRage, just a muck around and warm up using ink and felt pen. Using Wacom Intuos3 Pen Tablet. Had a play in the program yesterday for the first time in a while - been out of action for a few months with illness and injury but thankfully on the mend. ArtRage is fun, still my favourite painting prog after all these years. Thanks for watching!

Protecting yourself from Paypal chargebacksI decided I'd write something on this since it seems to be affecting a lot of my friends and artists I'm close to. I'll start with a few disclaimers.
I am not a finance expert. I have never filed a chargeback nor have I been in a chargeback dispute (fortunately). I have done some research out of both curiosity and out of desire to help out the community a bit. This is going to be quick(ish) and summarized. I'm also going to be changing some things to the way I sell as well (obviously).
This journal isn't about what to do in a chargeback dispute but rather, how to set up your sales so that you'll have the upper hand when having to deal with a dispute. I've included some useful links at the bottom for further information!

Close To You - Lyrics - Sans VersionTHE FLOWERS OF THE NEW AND LAUGHTER OF THE PAST,
THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL LIKE YOU, BEAUTY UNSURPASSED!
GONE WITH A WHISPER, YOU FALL ASLEEP LIKE DEATH,
BREAKING THROUGH THE EARTH, YOUR SMILE SHINES AGAIN!
MY EMPTY GRATITUDE, ANOTHER EMPTY THANK YOU,
I FINALLY LEARNED REGRET, FROM WORDS I'VE ALWAYS SAID.
NEVER MEANT TO SPEAK TO HURT, YET IT HURT TO PUT IN WORDS,
GOODBYE WHEREVER YOU ARE, GOODBYE UNBROKEN HEART.
IN TRUTH I WANT TO FEEL, THE TRUTH I WANT TO SEE,
I'M TRYING TO EMBRACE YOUR DRIFTING HEART AND SMILE!
WHENEVER I BEGIN TO FEEL THE BURNING TEARS OVERFLOWING FROM MY EYES,
I KEEP ON LOOKING FORWARD AT YOU, HOPING THAT YOUR LIGHT WILL NEVER PASS ME BY!
I WONDER WHAT THE STARS THAT SPARKLE IN YOUR EYES ARE HIDING FROM MY MIND,
HIDING FROM MY OPEN HEART AND FROM YOUR OPEN HEART!
TOGETHER, YOU AND I WILL ALWAYS BE ALIVE, CONNECTED, CLOSE TO YOU I'LL STAY!
AS LONG AS I CAN HOLD YOUR HAND AGAIN AND AGAIN, FOREVER, I WILL FIND MY WAY!
YOU MAY NEVER ANSWER BACK MY CALL BUT YOU SMILE AT ME WITH

Great book for learning about pixel artI read through this a while ago and have been meaning to plug it here since I've always found good pixel art guides hard to come by and this was super helpful to me!
This book is very thorough and goes from how pixel art was originally made for old games (which I've always wondered about and find super interesting) to basic pixel art concepts and on to more advanced subjects including animation! I learned some new stuff and it clarified other things I knew about but didn't really have a clear understanding of. It's also very visually oriented so there's a lot of clear examples of the concepts covered.
There's also a free preview available here if you want to check that out first -

Reading Visual Novels Using AGTH/TA/ATLAS/ITH:icononewithrussiaplz::iconsaysplz:Greetings!
This tutorial will explain to you how to read (almost any) Visual Novel in English without prior Japanese knowledge using Translation Aggregator, AGTH or ITH, and ATLAS. These programs do not modify the games files, so they should be safe to use without causing issues with developers.
I will begin with a short explanation as to what these programs are, followed by steps on how to set them up and finally some extra tips and tricks you could use to further the translations!
Feel free to ask questions through comments. Just keep in mind that I'm no expert at these programs and I myself used a tutorial to understand the basics of the programs, so I may be unable to answer some questions. Most links I supply will take you to the developer forums where you can download and ask questions about the specific program. No better help than the kind that comes from the ones who made it!
