Woke up last Saturday to discover youtube sub notifications pouring into my email. One of the subscribers I thanked told me that my Fallout 4 gameplay video had been featured on reddit and that's how I'd gotten all the new subs:…

Quite overwhelming! One of the comments was lovely, it said that I obviously hadn't gotten on the bandwagon recently to make money but that I'd been on YouTube nearly 11 years and obviously love making videos and that was my primary motive. And that's exactly how it is. I love it, it's my niche.

Going from 630 to nearly a thousand subs is amazing! What a ride!

My Youtube Channel:…

Jeremy Hunter is a songwriter and producer from Brisbane, Australia, who just happens to be my son. This promo video has excerpts of his current weekly podcasts, original songs and covers. It was my idea to promote his channel on youtube and because I love his music. I am the editor of this video.

He has formed bands, performed since teen years, his songs played on radio, discovered by TripleJ Unearthed, travelled to the UK with his music, a full history of musical endeavour.

Many of his songs are melancholy yet beautiful ruminations on love, loss, dreams and death which spring from personal experience. He strives to retain a tenderness in his music whilst exploring emotionally complex territory.

Jeremy both plays and produces entirely on his own, showcasing both his production skills and talents as a multi-instrumentalist. The results are lush layered walls of piano, guitar and harmonies that swell and subside, all the while supporting his ardent vocal style.

I had a serious fall last September and broke my arm; it will take another year to come completely good. But in the last week I've been back in Fallout 4! Bliss!

A couple of days ago I bought a new laptop for gaming (to replace my Vista 5+ year old laptop which is dying by degrees), plus a gaming keyboard. Fan-bloody-tastic!! :happybounce: Love

Hubby gave me FarCry4 18 months ago but we didn't realise it was OS-dependent so of course my Vista wouldn't play it. So it's super cool to have a fast gaming rig that will play all the modern games. I'm looking to get Rise of the Tomb Raider as well, plus FarCry Primal...eventually.

Started playing FarCry4 last night and the graphics are super terrific (laptop is plugged into my flatscreen monitor). I have an NVidia 2Gb GeForce 940MX graphics card. The keyboard is very responsive and an added plus is now I can see the keys in the dark - good for my eyes.

Oh, and I really like Windows 10 shock horror!

Excuse all the superlatives while I go back to playing Heart
Hillie over 'n' out!

A few little rough sketches of faces in ArtRage, just a muck around and warm up using ink and felt pen. Using Wacom Intuos3 Pen Tablet. Had a play in the program yesterday for the first time in a while - been out of action for a few months with illness and injury but thankfully on the mend. ArtRage is fun, still my favourite painting prog after all these years. Thanks for watching!

How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Since September 2014.
I was first here in 2005 for a few years, but left.

Well, here's proof. Just found my old login details in my files, logged in with them and this came up! Many moons ago :D Very weird.

What does your username mean?
My original name was psychopix but it was taken this time so I left off the "h".
It means I'm slightly crazy. Or I'm psycho enough to make pics :D

Describe yourself in three words.
Overly sensitive

Are you left or right handed?

Why ask?

What was your first deviation?
watercolour painting of my daughter by psycopix

It is so inspiring to see millions in France turn out to stand for Liberté, Égalité and Fraternité. Makes me nostalgic for my European roots.

I found this video yesterday with the cartoonists at work:…. I once worked in an office when I was a lot younger where our cartoonists did the same thing - just drew on the spot, so talented, didn't even have to think twice about drawing, they just did it. Sad to see these people in their offices where they were murdered. Good on Charlie Hebdo for putting out a mag this week to hundreds of thousands more than their original clientele.
Update: 2nd to 1st! My snow painting for the November 2014 ArtRage Competition won joint 2nd FIRST!

JOINT WINNER! ArtRage November 2014 Comp: Snow by psycopix

I'm thrilled! Thanks to the ArtRage Group. Prize is 3 6 months Premium subscription. I'm looking forward to that.

And thanks to hubby for his lovely photo (my ref) that he took in the Blue Mountains (Mt Victoria) west of Sydney Australia nearly 40 years ago! It's one of his best.

It would be really nice to have Status right up the top, and comments immediately below my ID instead of way down the bottom. It's been that way since I was here in 2005. That's also a pain when I say thank you to my generous llama people - I have to scroll right down past lots of huge images to even find comments. And you want us to communicate with "the community"?!?

Maybe I should call this place deviantSCROLL.

we need a Traditional Art category

suggested this on Oct 12 08:08 PM

In the ART RELATED section, please add a forum dedicated to Traditional Art.

Photography, Literature and Digital Art are catered for, why not Traditional? And "General: For all your art related discussions" isn't good enough. Trad topics get lost in there.

DA may have an over-indulgence of anime art and childish badly photographed pencil drawings, but traditional artists really need to be plugged too and have a discussion forum about all things their art - eg paints, tools, supports, and painting itself.

Thanks for considering this.

(Edit 2 years later: or not.)

People have been so kind. I used to be on here and have just come back and I've been inundated with kind comments AND LLAMA badges!

Thank you so much!

I'm an ignoramus so have no idea about badges so any heads up on that would be helpful. Yeah yeah, I've read Support but still, not sure.

Have a great day everyone :happybounce: :D (Big Grin) :squee: Smooooch!
