Chapter 4: Dreaming</i>
The last real, living memory Rya had was of falling face-first onto the asphalt, clutching her wound, gasping for air. And every night since she came back to life, she had relived it in her dreams. This time, however, it was a bit different.
Upon hitting the ground, she didn't wake up. Instead, she was yanked out of her body, unsure of what had happened. All she saw was that everyone was staring. Shocked. Frozen. Maybe even a bit sad.
"What? I'm right here! You idiots, I'm standing right in front of you!" Rya shouted. But nobody heard her speak. It was as if she wasn't there at all.
Frustrated, Rya began stomping towards them, but after a few steps, she stopped. It was like she hit a wall.
Then she looked down and froze.
She was hovering about a foot in the air, and right below her feet lay her dying body.
