I've produced all of 10 pieces of art in a year's worth of time. That's it. That's all there is to show...
What I can't show:
--further work and development at our print studio cooperative, formerly LegUp Studio, now renamed North Star Print. We've cleaned out more space, developed more gallery space, built more drying racks and replaced several pieces of equipment. I cant take much credit for all this - two other incredible women have been working out the legal and paperwork, and building relationships with local groups and a paper-making business. Soon, this year, we will become a fully licensed LLC and begin working on grant applications.
--The Unicorn Art Show moves into its fifth year, while we continue to improve the Gods and Monsters art show. We've officially become an LLC under the name 'Otherworldy Arts Collective'. Our goal for this year is to develop two more quarterly shows, solidify a working relationship with the 'Consortium of Strange Girls', the 'Geeks Partnership Society', and 'North Star Print', expand our network of sponsorship vendors, all while gathering resources for smaller sales events across the Twin Cities.
--crafting up a working technique to create finalized art on wood. This way, I have a major one-off piece that I can still develop screen poster print-runs off of. These one-off pieces are more widely accepted at major art galleries as opposed to the screen printed works. Thus far... results have been mixed and inconsistent in quality. It isn't easy to prep most types of wood for ink work illustration.
--there will be some sculpted works coming soon.
