Literature Text
"Keep it." A key?
"Some key in looks."
A key for what?
"Will you not take it, gift
I give and leave with you."
But, what does it open?
"A secret in truth and a game."
Game, you say? Then tell me the rules.
Games are no fun if you don't know.
"The rules are simple, keep
it as long as you can.
From this life to the next."
To lose? "Nothing."
Nothing at all?
"Well, then you chase."
Literature
Nothing to hold on to
Be it
written in the sand
or
taken by the wind.
Everything in life
is much too fleeting.
Literature
Forecast
Oh…
It’s that time again.
Time to put bookmarks
in all the places
I’d like to return
after the storm.
For now, I will wait
in the rain, as I
slowly lose warmth.
It leeches out of me,
my soul itself.
It’s something
I can’t seem to help.
The patterns,
like blueprints,
all play out to plan.
And it’s something
I’m not sure
I’ll ever understand.

Literature
the world it looks a little gray
the world is short a smile today
a laugh is missing too
the world it shouldn’t turn this way
to say good-bye to you
but here we are within this play
a mournful shade of blue
the world is short a smile today
for we are missing you
the word came by dawn’s early light
the Garden was in view
we lost you somewhere in the night
lost part of ourselves too
the world is short a smile today
the laughter is no good
the world it looks a little gray
in ways it never should
as we are molded in this clay
with hints of sandalwood
the world is short a smile today
today just isn’t good
the word came by dawn’s early light
the magic, it was gone
we lost you somewhere in the night
now we must carry on
the world is short a smile today
your laugh gone, ours is too
the world it shouldn’t turn this way
should not work without you
I guess it doesn’t, not the same
takes on a darker hue
the world is short a smile today
so we will smile for you
the word came by dawn’s early
A weird little poem.
