This last great battle of the Winged Hussars is probably among the greatest episodes of Polish bravery (which is saying a lot;) (Wink) ). Thanks for this piece of work, propagangjah!

Always liked history so I have no problem reading about it. Learning something new is always a treat.

So you should check out also Battle of Kircholm or Battle of Klushino from the same era :D (I've painted them both, and lots more)

Amazing battle! I just decided to read up on it, and holy shit was it epic! No wonder it's called the Polish Thermopylae!

Poland has a really epic history. It's really a badass country when you consider that it has been surrounded by enemies pretty much for all of its history.

Oh yes that's truth :D I'm glad you read about it :) You may also want to check out the Battle of Chocim, Kircholm (you may already know that one :) )or Klushino(and some others)  as there are at least 6 battles called "Polish thermopylea":D But to be honest Swedish army gave us some hell too once even when we got the hussars
It's too bad Polish history is barely shown in the movies as there were lots of perfect scenarios :)
Thanks :)

Yeah, lots of conflict between our countries. And a lot of potential for awesome history based art and movies. Too bad Hollywood isn't interested (or the swedish movie industry either :(). Atleast we can show it in our artworks and hopefully raise interest in this era :)

But also lots of friendship and common Kings :) I haven't got idea since few weeks ago that baltic was frozen at this time, and Swedish army came across it :D I thought you came of ships :)
There is Polish Saga with "Potop" or "Deluge" about battles with sweden but it's from 1970' :D

hussars are almost immortal XD

I think they had just (exept great ecuipment and skills) unbeliveble morale, the more I read about them - the more I agree that those guys were affraid of nothing. "There is like 10x bigger army ahead? Lets go and smash them "

Wow, I can't believe I didn't know the odds against them. I'm starting to read more and more about Polish military history, lots of amazing stuff.

that's great :) I'm going to paint some of the other ubelivable battles in near future :)
