_{It began with a lazy morning when the only inspiration one finds is slopping butter on a slice of toasted bread and calling it breakfast. That’s the kind of thing that makes miracles, surprisingly enough, but it’s also the kind of morning that calls for a little push to get a writer’s words going. All those mediocre, overdone prompts that came up on a quest for a good writing prompt on Google and other browsers are what inspired this group, and I hope that all of the other writer’s who have gone through similar happenings love this idea as much as I do.}

So you want to write a story? - Writing guideSo, a lot of people seemed to like some of my writing guides and tutorials(mostly on other sites where it’s noticed and suffers less competition, but hey, whatever). So, I’m trying to do some more, see if they help anyone. If they do, well great, I guess I can say I accomplished something. I don’t think this was written all that well but whatever, here it is.
But where to begin???
First, to have a story, you have to have…well…an idea! An idea and a little creativity.
Sometimes you get an idea that doesn’t quite work when you first think of it, but don’t worry.
I have quite a lot of ideas. Some work, some don’t. Some don’t work until you spend a lot of time thinking about and polishing them. These ideas don’t have to be grand, they can be incredibly small.
They can start with a simple thought or the punch-line of a joke(my next book after Fosterling may end up being based off a very creative and hilarious joke that pas

Fire The fire illuminated my face as I watched it flickering amongst the logs, glowing and burning. The heat beamed upon my body, warm with love and affection.
The flames twirled, twisted and curled in a fiery dance. Blazing horses ran across the red plains. Phoenixes soared through the lapping inferno. Dragons rose upon the crimson waves. A story being told in every second.
The crackling filled my ears and the burnt smell of seared lumber lingered near my nostrils.
It smiled at me, offering me a safe and secure hearth. Its gleaming arms beckoned, presenting protection. These were the characteristics of a sheltered haven.
But…then the blaze withdrew its warmth and slowly subsided till only a tiny spark was left, revealing a cold and barren wasteland, the homeland of death and infertility.

The Definition of Writing I love writing. It is my passion, my obsession and my relief. It helps me pass through predicaments. It helps me pass through difficult periods.
I can express my thoughts and feelings with no shame or worries… with no reservation or qualms.
When I write I can transform into anything. I can fly. I can be a hero. I can be nothing and everything.
Writing is my soul and my life. It is where I can find a peaceful sanctuary that accepts me for who I am. It is where I belong.
A death in the family. The agony of a cracked heart. The fear encountered. Writing is my shelter…my refuge…my place.
When I am in distress. When I am crying in anguish. When I feel that all hope is lost, I escape to writing. I feel safe there. I feel alive.
Writing is my own private world. Here I can create, remake and construct something with just the purity of words. They are my building blocks and the pencil is the tool I use.

Chapter 1: Flame PointsThe sound of water encircled the area. The subtle echo of the liquid splashing against the river stones, sent an array of euphoria to her ears. The piercing heat of the morning star kissed the skin of her face, as the frigid wind caressed her body.
A loud crash erupted, the sound of the peaceful water being pushed out of its safe abode.
A piercing tone called out to her, “Butter! Please come in the water with me!”
She instantly recognized the voice belonging to her twin brother Scotch. Her cat ears twitched from the annoyance of her brother disturbing her tranquility. She peered one of her eyes open to see him drenched in the crystal like waters of Euteria. She couldn’t resist as the urge overtook her and the lips upon her face curved into a smile, her unmistakable feline fangs exposing themselves. The saliva dried quickly in the morning air.
“You are so silly brother, you are a walking contradiction.” She said, her smile growing wider.

The jet black robot known as No. 9 said, "Very good, No. 4. We must inform the Concentorate immediately." And they both began the long walk back to the Intarium, the triangular-shaped laboratory of burnished copper and glass which stood upon the plains of El Tarene.
"The inspection team has returned. I'm told they found something interesting today." said Testan, a burgundy and gold robot, who was one of the Concentorate Seven. These seven robots comprised the authority on El Tarene, especially concerning discoveries of this magnitude. Sitting beside him was Sincaid, Chairman of the Seven. Resplendent in silver and indigo, he chuckled in a deep voice, "We shall see, Testan." He turned to the attendant standing beside his chair. "Send them in, Orlos."

chambers like tombstonesOn the other side of the street a window was brightly enlightened.
A couple.
With the help of their gestures one wasn’t able to determine whether they were fighting, planning the next day or were simply telling each other how much they love their counterpart, as if it has been the easiest and most normal thing to do. The pool of light from across the street was standing in a stark contrast to the dimness in her room. She stood up to do something, but seemed to realize that there was nothing she could do. She sat down again and turned her gaze back to the stained glass of the window. Across the road the man was taking something out of the fridge and then both left the kitchen and thereby my field of vision.
Again - she was alone.
In a room with too many things that meant too much to her.
It was dark and only the scanty and unhealthy light of the streetlamps slightly illuminated the attic.
The air was muggy, but she didn’t open the window since the half- loud silence of the a

Downpour I watched the rain pour down from the murky, dreary sky, waiting for my dad to come home after ten years. Even when I’m inside, the damp smell of the rain hovers mixing with the burning wood from the fireplace. I huddled tighter in my blanket. The feeling of warmth and cosiness ebbs through me.
My eyes wandered around, staring through the window again. It fascinated me, rain, the endless cycle of Mother Nature. The droplets of water sliding down on the glass reminded me of tears trickling down on someone’s face. Just like tears, it is a clear liquid and just like tears, it causes the atmosphere to sullen. The only cure is happiness, love and heat.
I wrapped my hands around the smooth mug. It contained a soft, dark brown liquid that ripples as I touch it. Hot chocolate. The beverage soothed my numbness and my anticipation. A sudden strike of light woke me from the unconsciousness I was slipping to and after a few seconds rumbling followed.

Lost and Fading The feeling of lost when it feels like someone from my life is fading or have already disappeared is painful. I hate the feeling. It is one of the heartfelt sadness in your life.
You will miss the smile upon the person’s face…the way their face shone through happy times and the time when you laugh with them. You will remember the blissful times spent together…close…and the times when both of you used the strongest strength in the world, love and friendship, to pull through struggles.
You feel consumed in hopelessness. To remember their smile is painful. To remember their laughter is torture. Why does this have to happen? You would think that someone this close to you…someone that you love would of created an unbreakable connection…but now you watch as the bonds between you and them slowly tore apart.
You remember their smile…the way they talked…the way they comforted you through difficulties and hardship

Never-Born Fosterling Prologue SnippetHarsh, pained breaths escaped from chapped lips as he swiped his tongue across their cracked surface. He surveyed his handiwork in the dimly lit room, arms hanging limply at his sides, baggy sleeves dotted in a medley of blood.
The once white gauze that covered both sides of his face, one side more heavily bandaged, was stained with his own blood from a sizeable wound connecting brow to jawline on the left side.
He reached up with his free hand and wiped his sleeve across his face, smudging the blood spots on his skin – ones that were not his own.
In the other hand gleamed a long, guard-less blade, its razor edge silver and its spine black. Light glinted off not only the metal but the thick, red coating of blood that dripped off the downturned tip.

Beta Reader?Would anyone be interested in looking over and helping me to edit and polish my first 25 chapters of Fosterling: The Crow's Nest? Only the first 25 that I have up publicly. It's not the unedited version I have up on DA(was too lazy to go back and replace it and re-do all the coding brackets when I did corrections on the Word documents) but the already-sort-of-edited versions. I haven't been able to find a constant beta reader or editor that hasn't up and disappeared after the first couple of chapters for some reason or anther, and the person I had in mind when I started this project became too busy to do it, so I'm in the market for a beta reader/editor to help me polish up my work.

Of course I'm looking for someone who's a good english reader and writer, mainly, who would be fine and comfortable to suggest changes in sentences or suggesting replacement vocabulary and the like, has good attention to grammer and flow, etc. since I do plan to eventually pub

Serendipity--Amy's Chapter 2: Another Reality“Bring to me…….. create a circle with salt, inside the circle mark the symbols of the bells in salt. Make sure the largest bell’s symbol faces your front and the smallest to your back.... the second to smallest should be to the top of your left shoulder and the second biggest should be to the bottom of your right shoulder. Third smallest should be to your right and third biggest to your left…. The remaining should be below you. Create another salt circle so that the symbols are trapped between two circles of salt, except the one below you….be sure not to smudge any of the salt. And then say ‘Open the Gate to the World of Perditus and for I have gone astray.’ I will be there to claim the bells.”

Serendipity--Lynn's Chapter 1: The Room   Lynn finds herself in an unfamiliar room. She gets up and loosk at her surroundings, and wonders how she got here. As she looks around Lynn notices that she's in a large, well lit hall. The kind you might expect to be in a museum. While the walls and edges have the artistic flair of an architect's hand, there dosn't appear to be anything on the walls, nor any show cases. The floor appears to be marble. The hall stretches out to her left and to her right.
   "Oh crap... I hate museums..." Lynn takes the path down the right side of the hall.
How did I get here...
   Lynn looks for other people around and calls out, "Hello?" She hears an echo down the creepy hallway

   As Lynn goes down the hallway to the right she enters a section of the hall devoted to mirrors. The entire hall looks to be made of a single mirror. The mirrors reflect Lynn and the previous hall, yet they don't seem to reflect each

After a while, Videl slowly opened her door and tiptoed down the hall. “Well, it’s great to finally see you out and about.” Videl glanced down, seeing Goku grinning at her. “So what’s up?”
Videl admitted “I am starting to get hungry.”
Right at that second, Chi-Chi appeared around the corner and exclaimed “I knew you would come to your senses, dear. Follow me!”
So Videl followed the teapot to the dining room. Just as Videl sat down, Vegeta snapped at Chi-Chi “What are you doing, you idiot?! You know what the master said!”
Chi-Chi gave the clock a little slap and said firmly “The girl is still in our care, and I will not let her starve! Besides, the master needs to learn somehow.”
