GROUP RULES

:star: View the complete rules, rights, and F.A.Q. here: :star:
:star::star: prompt-it-up.deviantart.com/bl… :star::star:

Here's a snippet of the rules:
(Basically all you need to know to be a member!)

.:Rules for prompt-it-up:.

01. Anyone can join! Anyone can participate and respond to prompts but only members can post to the group gallery. (Non-members can post their responses to the group's favorites.)
02. Please be respectful of other members of the group.
03. Participation is encouraged but not enforced.
04. Only submissions that respond to a prompt may be submitted to the galleries.
05. Any and all mediums are accepted! This includes but is not limited to: Digital, traditional, literature, photography, film, make-up, sculpture, etc.

.:Rules for Submitting Work to the Galleries:.

**Your work must adhere to deviantART's rules first and foremost!**

01. Make sure you're posting to the correct gallery!
Current Jams - Features art responding to the current week's jam. When a new jam is up, these artworks will be moved to Past Jam Sessions.
Past Jam Sessions - Hosts the artwork that responded to past jam sessions within the time those jams were in session. A member should not post to this gallery ever. When a prompt's jam has passed, all submissions responding to that prompt will be moved to this folder by the staff.
Prompts Responded to outside of Jams - While Jam sessions have a due date, the prompts can still be answered whenever a deviant wants to complete them. This folder is where prompts that deviants responded to outside a jam's time limit go. Prompt responses are still gladly featured because this group encourages art creation in the member's earliest convenience.

02. In the Artist's Comments of your piece, you must state the prompt you're responding to and mention the group's name.

03. The Featured gallery will be reserved for above average and exceptional works. This section requires 3 votes (which is a unanimous consent of the administration) to be accepted, so do not get upset if your work is rejected.

04. You may respond to a prompt however you'd like in whatever medium or art/writing form you prefer. You may approach it in an art/writing form you're very familiar with, or experiment with a new one. A response is a response. If a prompt addresses "you" as the subject, this does not mean you have to insert yourself into the response. You may insert any subject in your response so long as it is responding to the prompt.

Journal
Drawing Resources
Hey people,
I started this journal because I had been dissatisfied with my art skills so since May 28, 2011, I've been on the hunt for material to help me out. PLEASE NOTE: This journal gets UPDATED! So check back every few months or so for anything new! And if you find something useful, please suggest it! If you have your own collection of resource links, please share them! :D And if you're browsing this list and encounter a site link that no longer works, let me know. :)
ANNOUNCEMENT! My journal is becoming too big. So soon in the future, I will be making a PART 2 to this journal. Some of these sections will be moved there, and the ones left behind will be expanded upon!!! Please continue to leave suggestions. Let me know what has helped you out. I would love to know.
UPDATE!  December 29, 2014: Instead of making a PART 2, I will be moving all current information found here and will be making all future updates on my website,

Repost: Electro and Lizard by NanasFreak Repost: Electro and Lizard :iconnanasfreak:NanasFreak 5 20 TheDarkmia Commission by andrahilde TheDarkmia Commission :iconandrahilde:andrahilde 792 52
So I am writing to express my sincerest apologies for letting this group go by the wayside. This is no doubt my fault and I am willing to take responsibility for the severe length of time this group has been inactive. In no way have I ever forgotten this group. I had simply been gone from DA for a great deal of time. For any of you who deviwatch me personally, you'll likely be aware that I have returned as of mid-July and I have once again picked up the pencil. I wanted to get myself back on my artistic feet before returning to this group.

In no way did I intend to neglect updating this group for as long as I had, but it did get extremely neglected in nearly a year's time. And for that, I am deeply sorry, and as I said before, I do take responsibility for my neglect of this group. I won't make any promises for any changes to occur immediately, as we have seen that happen before and such was not kept. But, I will say I have no intention to close or retire this group!

Instead, for now, I will simply encourage everyone to use past prompts for inspiration for their future works! It's been a group rule since Day 1 that you may respond to prompts any time you want and that deadlines are for anyone who feel better giving themselves a timeline.

I will also greatly encourage your feedback. There are so many of you and one of me! So please, I encourage you all to submit your thoughts. Think of what themes, contests, or challenges that you had a lot of fun trying your hand at and share that which has inspired you in the past. Also suggest some themes or future prompts. This group has always been open to the feedback of its members.

For now, I'm focusing on re-establishing myself in DA. It's been a long time since I've been an active member of this artistic community so I need to essentially start all over in some ways. I will certainly keep this group in mind, as I dearly love the idea behind this group and its goal. And eventually I'll get back into the habit of creating prompts to post again.

And as always, you are all completely welcome to share your thoughts and suggestions!

I think this is an awesome Idea and I may try it myself. I am trying to experiment with other mediums rather than just photography and I think this will help lots!
