Beatles lovers bug me when they always whine about how people who don't like Beatles know absolutely NOTHING about music, just cause they were "revolutionary" 5 million years ago. So sorry for not liking ancient music that's boring as shit. :I
Also, the young ones who believe they "saw the light" because they listen to some boring three chord rock music or some things from the 70's and earlier that is actually an early example of music being watered down also bugs me, especially when they also think their generation is bad because they do not listen to those things.
Even as a music guru I don't get this serious about it.
All of these (including many more - why no Dream Theater? ("I only listen to DT cuz they're the only ones that make real music, everything else is such worthless shit with no thought at all put in that it pains me to even hear it.... and you know NOTHING of real music, you inerudite moron, etc., etc.")) are that kind of fandom that makes you wonder WHAT THE HELL IS WROOOONG with these ppl. So in a way, I'd vote for all. But in this respect xtians (along with most other religions) are simply out of the charts. Sickness. Period.
P.S. Also, you should mention those that ban certain bands or entire genres usually just because they have some prejudice about them.... that's kinda opposite to fandom, but it's actually essentially the same thing and is almost as annoying. Damn it, I FUCKING HATE haters!!!
Maybe, in the US. Over here Tool are still vaguely known and the people I know who listen to them are actually true music appreciators. Perhaps it's just a matter of time.... perhaps it will be like with Dream Theater after some time, prog fans have those inclinations.
Oh, this, and much, much more. They are not even worth the attention though.
