There are three different storylines that I've let sit for several months.  (I didn't put them here, they're over at FA.)  I suppose it's the same phenomenon that leads people to start web comics that grind to a halt after about a month. Last weekend I picked up my knitting needles after more than a year of disuse.  I remembered almost everything that I used to know, but I don't think I can cast off without looking up instructions.  It's a disappointing thing, remembering how bored I was feeling over the summer--and all the while, I was letting things sit idle.

Well, eleven months since the last journal.  That's quite a while. Not doing summer school...I'm very lucky that I have the luxury to turn up my nose at that, and not do it. The calendar for June is busy anyway:  Financial Aid appeals, Admissions and Standards meetings; setting up mentor visits with Dr. M. and who knows what else the Academy wants me to do in the short term...and the recording of textbooks.  I'm pleased that I'm decent at that; it's a long way from being a radio or podcasting personality, but my voice will be out there, reading parts of chapter 8 of Martin-Gay's "College Algebra".

I started going to a once per month poetry gathering.  I heard that recordings were made, and it would have been neat to get a copy of the recordings...but instead, I'll just post the text of what I read.
