Thanks so much in advance for any faves or comments. I appreciate any feedback at all.
I usually don't comment as often as I should but Wow, this caught my eye immediately. I think the instant appeal to me is how you framed it with the pistol being towards the left edge and the characters face on the right. Love how the character is looking at the viewer, even though the pistol is aiming slightly away. Easy to imagine what she could be thinking based on her expression. Shading is wonderful, level of detail is awesome. Fingers aren't perfect (in my humble opinion) but this doesn't detract from overall greatness of this piece. Well done, keep up the great work!
I'm Kevin 'The Skull' Anderson from Project Comment. I've got a few things to say about this, and then I will let you carry on:
First of all, this is a remarkable composition you've got here, that's unquestionable. You've spent a great deal of time on it, you've put in a lot of effort, and that speaks volumes.
You have, for another thing, really mastered the stroke of the pencil and seem to really be good at a number of aspects, including shadow, cross hatching, outline, perspective and even anatomy. In those five things, you have it all down to a science.
You have just a bit of room to improve in terms of the positioning of the eyes, but not by much. For whatever reason, the pupils seem microscopically out of place, but it's not really that big of a deal, so I know you can remedy that.
Overall, I can tell that you really took your sweet time with this drawing of Black Widow, hence the title. You have a fantastic taste in this sort of thing based on what I see here, and I also notice that you're a Big Bang Theory fan, too. That's something to be proud of. That being said, make no mistake about it: if I compared my traditional art to yours, you would still -- even at my peak a few years ago -- would blow me completely out of the water because the way you draw is so much more detailed than mine. So, it goes to show that you have a very luminous and bright future ahead of you. I'm sure I will see more from you soon.
As for me, I went into graphic design in 2014 while in a group home at Randolph Community College to better my art skills, and the only thing I accomplished at that time was pretending to draw professionally a la styles like yours. In the end, I realized that everyone has their own art style, and despite my drawing capabilities being no better than that of a fifth grader I seem for the most part to have my own style and have came into my own with that style.
So, I welcome your thoughts.
Hey Kevin, thanks for taking the time to comment and fave my drawing. I appreciate all your kind words and thoughts. The wonderful thing about art is we can all express ourselves in our own fashion. We just need to find it. Finding your style is half the battle so good for you and good luck in your pursuit of excelling in it. I will take a look at your gallery and see what you do. Have a great day.
