Oh, a thought just came to me. What would happen if someone engineered bats the ability to make water-proofing oil of most birds?
I guess you would get bats that could feed more easily in water, perhaps even aquatic bats. But the large area of exposed flesh of the wing would loose heat very easily in water.

well, there's not much diff between a bushpig or red river hog.
just for its range,and red river hog live in vulnerable jungles
