Stoic Stripes

Wild Zebras are usually not stoic. They move swiftly away from oncoming visitors with cautious stares, since they are the ultimate prey in the savanna. While in the national parks and protected from hunters who want their skins, they are still hunted by predators such as the leopard and lion. These zebras are not as used to travelers in Mikumi as they might be in other national parks, but they let us look at them long enough for me to catch this pose!
