Thracian Hekate, shown at a forest crossroads with two Pharaoh hounds (though they don't actually come in black). There's tangled yew behind, with mandrake and henbane before Her, all plants sacred to Her. Behind Her is a primitive hekataion (the word later used for shrines to Hekate), according to some scholars a protective pillar with three masks set up to watch over crossroads, which may be the origins of Her triplicity. (Or maybe not; but it's an interesting idea.)
The original is in black colored pencil (both Prismacolor and the harder Verithin), with acrylic inks over on bristol board. It was a bit of an experiment and I'm not sure I quite got it right, still. It's about twelve inches tall.
