The City of Tomorrow by BWS

This is the first illustration for my serialized story The Lair of the Clockwork Book, which began its run this week at Thrilling Tales of the Downright Unusual ( [link] ). The story updates with a new illustrated page each Monday and Thursday, and will run for fourteen months there.

It's a linear, serialized story meant to complement the branching stories like Trapped in the Tower of the Brain Thieves.

On this first page we see a view over the city of Retropolis - just so we know where we are, here in the retro future - as we consider that there are some places in every city where people just don't go, and we explore the reasons why that's true.
