There is a large bug on the window screen. It is just sitting there not moving or anything. I was not sure what it was at first. I was then informed that it is a cicada. I have never seen one before. I only hear them when it is very hot outdoors.   Oh, cicada, what are you doing there at my window? Are you just chillin’? Did you need a spot to rest and that is the place you chose?   It is nighttime now and the cicada is still on the window screen, Although it has moved slightly. Perhaps it has found a place where it likes to be. I just hope that is does not start making noise When the heat of the August sun comes back in the morning.

A man looked at his reflection in a mirror and admired his appearance. He straightened his necktie and adjusted his shirt cuffs, then meticulously looked himself over to make sure everything was in place. The man needed to make sure his outfit was good and presentable for his latest victim.             The man descended to where he had the latest victim restrained to a chair and gagged. A sadistic smile was hidden under the man’s medical mask as he put on a pair of latex gloves. Once his gloves were on, the man donned an apron and tied it. He certainly did not want to ruin his nice outfit by getting the victim’s blood all over it. That would be a huge shame. The man then removed the gag from the woman’s mouth.             “Somebody, help me!!! Please!!” the woman shrieked at the top of her lungs while tears streamed from her eyes.             The man just chuckled. “Scream all you want. Nobody’s going to hear you,” he said as he browsed his selection of ‘toys’ (the term he used for

Kaz Kaan neatly tied a bow tie and then fastened the cuffs of his tuxedo shirt with a pair of gold cufflinks. The young magistocrat admired his appearance in the mirror before putting on his tuxedo jacket. He admired his appearance some more and complimented himself on his taste in stylish and elegant attire. Kaz really enjoyed how good he looked.             Just what was the occasion for Kaz to get all dressed up? It was for attending one of Freddie Miles’ parties of course. Was it a ritzy party where everyone would be dressed in their finest attire? No, it was not. It was just a regular house party and Kaz could have gone in his usual outfit. But why do that when he could dress up for the occasion?             After all, a real elegant gentleman always made sure he was dressed to the nines, even when it was not necessary.

Not even schools were safe from the Northeast Ticklerz. The gang was more than happy to recruit young members if they could prove they had what it takes to be part of the organization. One school in particular saw a rise in students who became affiliated with the gang. Every day they would see more guys come into school wearing purple dress shirts with silver neckties and sporting masks over their faces.             The school did not have the best reputation to begin with as a lot of its students came from poorer and more disadvantaged backgrounds and the Northeast Ticklerz were not the only gang that recruited young. Violent clashes between students affiliated with different gangs had been fairly commonplace, though the school faculty had noticed that, as more purple and silver began appearing, the other gang colours seemed to slowly phase out. The Northeast Ticklerz eventually became the dominant gang association at the school. Of course, now its members were the ones that were

A scientist had discovered the secret of time travel and decided to take a trip back to the Middle Ages as he felt that the world of scientific progress had really stagnated during that period. He was hoping to alter the timeline so that the Scientific Revolution started many centuries earlier. This way, when he returned to his proper time, science and technology would be even more advanced.             The scientist fired up his time machine and travelled to his destination. When the people there saw him, they asked if he was an angel sent from heaven or perhaps a being from the faerie realm. He explained to them that he was nether of those things, but rather a man with the ability to travel through time and that he had come to bring those people great knowledge.             The next thing the scientist knew, he was being burned at the stake while his time machine was being smashed up and sprinkled with holy water by a priest. The man and his device were obviously works of the Devil

There were a group of guys that hung out together. They were always seen sporting silk dress shirts and neckties, no matter the occasion. These guys liked to look elegant and classy but also have a cool and stylish appearance at the same time.             Although they liked to maintain a classy and stylish appearance, they were not haughty nor incredibly vain (though they did claim that having a small bit of vanity was perfectly fine as it made sure a person maintained a refined appearance). They were friendly and polite as they knew that a true gentleman did not just look the part but acted it as well. [DEVIATION]

William Vanderhausen was getting ready for another day of school. The redhead hummed a happy tune as he fastened the buttons of a medium-blue silk dress shirt and tucked the shirt into his brown dress pants. William then tied a white silk bow tie as he looked at his reflection in the mirror. He was all dressed and ready to go.             A chauffeur drove William out of the manor and to his high school. Once he was there, William immediately headed for the science lab in which he spent all his time. William had completed an entire year’s worth of classes in just two weeks, so now he spent every day in the lab working on science experiments (while occasionally grabbing another student to be his test subject). It was the school’s way of rewarding him for significantly boosting the school’s student average and giving them a much better look.             After spending a while doing research, William heard laughter coming from outside the science lab. There must have been a couple of

Jackson and Hector were a part of a small group rebelling against their authoritarian government and the oppressive way it ruled over the nation. The group had secretly been spreading around pamphlets and posters that promoted freedom of expression and liberal democracy. Doing so was highly illegal as it was considered ‘promoting degeneracy’ and ‘disrupting social unity.’ Such actions were also seen as acts of treason as they went against the Absolute Leader’s ideology and the Leader’s will was the State’s will.             After successfully evading authorities, the group got a little bolder in their actions. It was time to take things up a notch in their fight against the oppressive regime. The group broke into a radio station and knocked out all the security guards. They quietly snuck around, those on lookout giving hand signals to let the others know when the coast was clear, while abducting anyone passing by who worked at the radio station. One by one, those working at the
