With Care and Caution
Featuring: Achilles, Laufeyson and Nymeria
Summer 335, Blooming Territories
It was grueling, almost not worth it but eventually after several long minutes the trio had made it though the field of spikes. But Achilles was not about to pause, not even to catch his breath. He perhaps should have considering Nymeria and Lauf were looking a little drained. It had been surprisingly difficult to use their magic so much and so consistently. But once they were through the ice patch he was on the march, eyes locked on the flickering light just beyond sight.
“Achilles! Hold on!” Nymeria called, scrambling to follow him as Lauf dragged along behind her.
“He’s obsessed.” He whined, doing his best to trudge along in her shadow. But the stallion didn’t hesitate and kept his steady hussle. What if the lights disappeared again?! He didn’t want to chance it!

The only reason she had even gone into town was to pick up her fathers order. What it was, she still wasn't sure but he sure was keen on her scooping up the moment it arrived. With a sigh and eye roll she shifted the package under her arm and kept her head down. She just wanted it to be a fast trip, in and out and back to the farm. It wasn't like the little sleepy village was particularly judgemental or chatty; she just didn’t want to be stopped. She had been in the middle of her own projects when the old man had sent her in and she was eager to get back home.
Of course, her path took her past a rather worn down and forgotten little chunk of wood. The village's job board wasn’t exactly plastered with requests but she did like to steal a glance when she passed it. It was the least interactive way to know what was going on with the people in town without getting into everyone's business.

One Day in Ardrakk
The city was so much larger than anything her eyes had ever found before. The buildings rose like mountains before her and, unlike the old buildings of her town, these were made of dark bricks and stone. There was something cold about the city, downright unnatural that hung about like a bad omen. She tried not to judge from the looks alone but that heavy air was making it hard for her to notice much else. She glanced back to her father then as he steered their wagon through the crowded streets. Her breathing had transformed into show, shallow little gaps that threatened to become worse.“Seereon tinu…” Her father cooed softly, eyes darting ...
