The beautiful doe deserved more attention than Gwen was often allowed to give her but with the break in missions and things on the farm finally settling down a little...she decided to take some time to herself and have some fun. She had plans to enter more serious classes but she didn't see anything wrong with enjoying some more laid back, relaxed circuits. She had been playing around with Klalina for the last few weeks, teaching her a few things that weren't...useful so much as they were whimsical and elegant. She was a stunning doe after all so why not enhance her natural beauty with a few tricks?!
Having spent some time in Spain she had found a fondness for PRE horses and, particularly, their exaggerated movements and forms. The Spanish Walk was one of her favorite movements and it seemed just perfect for Kalina who already had a habit of pawing with her hooves. Moving through the damp showgrounds she was just grateful the spotty rain seemed to have let up enough to allow her and the doe to enter the arena in the sunshine. The turf was already damp and it was likely that Kalina would fling some mud but she didn't think the judges would dock points for that. It wasn't like it was anyone's fault!
Removing her halter and tossing it to the side, the Drow stole the does attention with a soft shake of the treat pouch she was keeping on her hip.
"That's a girl." She giggled, moving ahead of her as the doe trailed like a shadow. Moving to the does shoulder the Drow moved to walk with her in tandum but also slightly ahead of her as she held out the lunge whip. She didn't have to make a sound for the doe to realize what she was asking for as she began to lift her front legs high and forward to touch the whip. Gwen smiled as the doe figured it out so quickly, stretching out with each step to lightly tap the whip that she kept ahead of her.
"Good girl." She cooed after a moment, pausing to offer her some sugar from the treat bag at her side. "Very pretty." She giggled before turning her back around so they could walk one more lap.
It wasn't the most exciting of tricks, sure, but it certainly displayed the does beauty and grace.

So work has seriously influenced my view of horses and the types of movements I find charming

Expect more Spanish influenced pieces in the coming weeks since I've been laid off and miss my big Andalusian loves ;;o;;
