Polyamory (1)

Polyamory means to be capable of being attracted to more than one person at the same time and be in relationships with those people.  However, some people choose to see polyamoury as less innate and more of a lifestyle choice.

Here’s what the flag colours mean:

Blue: The openness and honesty among all partners in poly relationships

Red: Love and passion

Black: Solidarity with those who hide those relationships from the outside world due to societal pressures

Golden pi symbol: Greek lowercase letter ‘pi’, as the first letter of ‘polyamory’. Gold color represents the value that we place on the emotional attachment to others, be the relationship platonic or romantic in nature.

Its not cheating if the partners is okay with this  and have actually communicated before dating first and is in the same house, all 3 or more people in a relationship could be
in love with each other,

I am more of a monogyny person one partner for life

Do you by chance know the origin of this flag? This seems to be quite a wide-spread design, and very established... So I'm wondering, like, did you create this or happen to know the origin? Because like, all our pride flags have an origin from the last like 1-5 decades, essentially, so I feel like the information should be out there?

Jim Evans says they started using it in the Pacific North West in 1995.…

That blog post is a reaction to some criticism of the flag on the polyamory subreddit in 2016.

Discussion of Jim's post:

Criticism and some alternative flags (I think the infinity hearts and parrot ones work well for the web):

I think it works pretty well with slightly calmer colours. Something like this:…

I did some digging and it waas created by Jim Evans. I couldn't find a date, but the oldest reference I found was in 2010, so it's at least that old.

You should make religion pride flags too! Like for Wicca/Paganism, Buddhism, Taoism, etc. Heart

The relationship between the LGBT community and the Religious Community aren't really that good, but i guess the flag idea could work somehow? Idk-

I'm gonna keep this limited to MOGA/LGBT type designs
