Asexual (3)

Asexual: Someone who does not experience sexual attraction.

Unlike celibacy, which people choose, asexuality is an intrinsic part of who someone is. There is considerable diversity among the asexual community; each asexual person experiences things like relationships, attraction, and arousal somewhat differently. Asexuality does not make anyone's life any worse or any better, they just face a different set of challenges than most sexual people. Asexuality is distinct from celibacy or sexual abstinence, which are behaviors, while asexual is a sexual orientation. Some asexual people do participate in sex, for a variety of reasons.

This flag was made by InspectorCaracal at, with inputs by maple at

It was made to eliminate the white stripe from the original flag (which represented allosexual [non-asexual] partners and allies), while making the flag brighter and more distinct to appeal to people who didn't like the original one much. The purple used is also #A000CE (ace with zeroes in the middle).

So the flag color meanings should be the same; black for lack of attraction, purple for community and gray for people in the "gray area" between allosexuality and total lack of attraction.
