Happy New Year to all my awesome Deviant friends!
I hope your year has started off well. So far, I'm doing pretty darn good. I won a poetry contest hosted by with one of my newer works, Intro.
IntroMy heart beat steady-
softly behind my ribs.
The hardest working muscle in my body
and I hardly ever noticed it.
There was an ink-stained sky
swirling like a Van Gogh,
an angry sea raging
ready to swallow me whole.
I didn't bat an eyelash.
It was his hands on my skin,
fingertips haunting every nerve ending
sending my heart
into a cadence that made my chest pound.
My pulse was the snare
and his the kick drum pumping heavy bass.
Weaving a rhythm so simple,
so profound in its effect
Oh, I also wanted to mention that is having a contest, but it's not just any contest- it's a Poetry and Art Contest!!! Nice prizes too. Check out this journal for details and spread the word!!!
Poetry and Art Contest. So, What I've decided to do is start taking names for this contest idea and give everyone an Idea of how this will play out. This is a two round contest. The first round will be for poets. Me and the administrative team here at CG will think of a theme for the poets to write about. The second round will consist of artists, picking one of the entries from the first round and putting their words to life through their art. 2 winners from each round (1st & 2nd place) will be picked and awarded the following:
1st place: 1200 points
2nd place : 800 Points
I will also be collecting donations of points, favorites, and watches for the winners so please donate if you can.

One of us will post an update when we have more information. For now, Ciao.
No journal of mine could be complete unless I Featured some fabulous art! I'd like to start with some pretty words.
Go to SleepBright;
Nimble fingers searching indentations
Brick to robust brick, reading braille
About the hundreds who've lived and died here
And no one turned off the lights
A vacuum cleaner buzzes in the hallway
Sucking up bits of dust and lost souls
It can't be written about until it's all done
Then it won't matter, if it ever did
The earth has spun off its axis into the swamp
Of a muggy July night where it sinks down deep
Sleep-walking, night-swimming, and brick-counting
We laugh like children at a funeral
And last, but certainly not least, visual art.

The season of green is here Sprouts sprouting reaching for the sun and blooming, blossoming so pretty... springtime flowers
