Jungle banded avipod

This is jungle banded avipod, gigantic species of predatory avipod from Eurasiafrica 50 million years in the future, where it lives in continent wide jungle (from area of today Namibia to area of today Japan). It is closely related to sabretooth avipods (as it is visible, it has elongated fangs and still present, but very short front legs). It is over 10 meter long and weights up to 4 tons, what makes it biggest predator of its environment and one of biggest avipods of all time. So wide forest enables very spectacular fauna to exist, and because of some forest ruminates like vertibeast can weight over 60 tons, there must be predator able to hunt at least their calves. Jungle banded avipods usually hunt alone, but sometimes are able to form small packs, to cooperatively hunt very big prey. Females and young calves of this species are dark brown with beige bands, males are much darker, strong adult males what won high enough hierarchy status, to be sexually active, are completely black with light grey bands. Black color is message to other males, that this specimen is very good fighter and it is better to retreat in any confrontation with darker ones. When you are monster with almost 2 meter long bone-crushing jaws, it is better to solve disagreements without bloody fight as long as it is possible.

This drawing is quite old. I don’t draw on graph paper since 2 years. I have more of scanned drawings older than 2 years my computer, still procrastinating to upload them. This species of avipod is based on Carcharodontosaurus saharicus of course, I hope creatures similar to this dinosaur will walk on earth once more in the future.
Today living ancestor of order Avipoda is shrew. 50 million years of evolution is enough to grow from 15 g to 4 tons.
