Utahceratops portrait sketch

Very rough pencil sketch of Utahceratops, a chasmosaurine ceratopsid from where else, Late Cretaceous western North America. The texture & soft tissue is inspired by similar works done by Julius Csotonyi & Brian Engh. I recently had the pleasure of volunteering on a fossil dig w/ the Museum of the Rockies. We were excavating a new chasmosaurine ceratopsid from the Judith River Formation, & while there I tried to do as much research & sketching as possible to better familiarize myself w/ what we hoped to find.
