Let me repeat that: "What if we discover that our present way of life is irreconcilable with our vocation to become fully human?" When I first read this quote, I was floored. Deep in my gut, his question got at my belief that we've been created to be in relationship with each other and with God, and it also called me to task because I don't always live in ways that celebrate this relationship. Often times, I separate myself from people and God through my thoughts, words, and actions.
