What program did you use to draw this?

Photoshop CS 2 (I think!) It was back in 2009 on my old computer which is sadly no longer with us. These days I'm using Elements which is almost as fully featured as Photoshop at a fraction of the price.

Im new to digital art, and my main concern is im spending to much time on it... how long does a piece like this take you?
PRDart's avatar
I think this took around a week irrc, but I was working to a deadline set by my client. Don't worry about spending too much time on one piece of work if it's for your portfolio. When I first started I often spent months on one image!

Custom brushes can be a big time saver. I used them to create the magic effects in this image in just a few clicks.

Beautifully done! I especially like how the daggers stand out apart from the skin and robes. Lends it a lovely realistic touch!

I would like to thank you for this picture. I have been trying to conceptualize an outfit for me to make for my character. Your art has given me a vision of what I want and is serving as inspiration for me to lose enough weight to look decent in the outfit.

So, thank you! I hope that you don't mind that I am using your art in this way.

This is impossibly beautiful. However, if I were her, I'd pin my ears back before going into battle. They're just begging to be lopped off. The ears are my favorite...except on orcs. Orcs shouldn't be allowed to have something so beautiful.

That's gorgeous! The armor and clothing design are great. I love the light from the magic in her hands reflecting off everything! I'd only say the eyebrows are a little small but that's it. Great work!

Wonderful.

Trigon: Did Arella told you what happen to your father?

Raven: She told me enough. She told me you kill him.

Trigon: No, I am your father.

Raven: NO!!!

Wonderful... How do you do this work ? You use a drawing tablet for the base ?
PRDart's avatar
Yep I use a Wacom Intuous 4 tablet from start to finish. Saving up for a Cintiq 21UX now, can't wait :D

Ok and what size for the Intuos tablet ? :)
PRDart's avatar
The large/A4 model. Before that I had a Nisis Easypen which cost me just £70 from amazon. A lot of the early pics in my gallery were done using that tablet, it was great value for money.
