Your peaceful, pleasant sleep is cut short as your world turns from a secluded black to a blinding pink.  Dazed and still half asleep, you blink open your eyes and are greeted with a ray of sunshine that has found the single hole in your blinds.

"Yeah, okay."
He sat down in front of me. He was too tall for me, so he had to sit. He could just wash his own hair, but he liked the way I did it. Plus, I guess it's sort of romantic... well, it was before it was routine.
But routine seems to be all our life is these days.
As usual, he got very sleepy from my gentle, rhythmic massaging of his scalp.
"Your birthday is coming up soon," I said pleasantly.
"Mmm, yeah..." he murmured.
"Any idea what you want?"

"Marcellus it's hardly a present if we do it all the time."
