The green eyed monster chapter 1
The last few day’s had been strained Varian and his father had once again gotten into a huge fight, not there was any surprise there. As all they seemed to be doing now a day’s was fighting. Varian had wanted so much to try and find a reasoning behind these rocks. To make his father proud, to show him he wasn’t a disappointment in his father’s or the village’s eyes.
However the more he tried the more he seemed to mess things up, the village had been holding a party for one of their own when Varian decided to come up with an invention to help cut the cake, needless to say it didn’t pan out well.
End result: No cake and one angry village.

“No”. Varian shook his head vigorously. “It’s not”. The Teenager grabbed his head shoulders shaking as he sobbed. “I should’ve listened to you. About the rocks, everything. All I ever do is mess up. Disappoint you and now”. Varian sobbed uncostly falling to his knees.

A boy's pet
The moonlight shown through the window the house dimmed with its light, it had been an hour or 2 since Varian and his father had went to bed. Quirin had been able to talk his son into going to bed early, the King had invited him and his son for Dinner that night. In hopes to talk about the Black Rocks. After much discussion Varian had finally gotten through to his Dad that dealing with the Rock’s alone were not the answer.
The moment Varian woke up he knew something was wrong, it was a feeling he had. An uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. He always went by his gut. And his gut was telling him, something was not right.
Stumbling out of bed Varian rubbed at his eyes yawning before making his way downstairs, his lips turning into a smile as he noticed his friend on the Couch sound asleep.
After a moment however the turned into a frown. Sleeping down here was not like Rudiger, he was usually by his side cuddled up to him. Turning on the living room light, wincing for a moment

A father's love chapter 1
A cold dark smirk came across the older man gloved hand running down the Dark Rocks, the Rock’s as black as midnight. It had only taken a bit of power from himself to create this dilemma. More than a dilemma. He had only created them a few weeks ago and they were already creating havoc on anything it touched. Of course he had been smart, cunning made sure to create a home that would withstand the rocks.
It only made sense to prevent his greatest creation from becoming his biggest downfall.
Quirin circled around a bunch of Rocks that all seemed to gather in one place, soon. Soon he would have the Rocks attack the Royal palace. Would take down the family, the man clenched his gloved hand. HE would be the biggest Villain of all time. And nothing. NOTHING would stand in his way.
His house suddenly shook with an explosion prompting Quirin to pinch his nose with a gloved hand as he heard a voice yell sorry.
A son. A son was not something the leader of the Dark Knght needed. But after f

Quirin’s heart stopped the moment he saw this. This whatever his son had created, his son’s eyes widened and within seconds one of the pieces, of this thing. Busted. Varian’s goggles were knocked off his face and within seconds the alchemist’s hands were up by his eyes. A cry of pain escaping his mouth.
“Varian!”. Rushing over to his son Quirin gently grabbed his son’s arms, eyes glaring daggers at the rocks. The amber, not that it made any difference. He gently led his son upstairs squeezing his hand gently before helping his son to the couch.
He knelt next to his son’s trembling frame, placing strong hands on his son’s shoulders.
“Stay here son I’m going to find something to help clean your eyes out”.
With a stifled sob Varian nodded prompting Quirin’s heart to race, rushing to the bathroom he franticly looked around for anything that might help. Deciding on good ol soap and water. Quirin rushed back to his

What love can save chapter 1
The darkened night hovered over the sky the Moonlight shining into Varian’s window, his arms wrapped around his raccoons frame, the rise and fall of his chest. Indicated that he was in a deep sleep.
If one squinted you could see a tiny bug flying through the window but it was no ordinary bug, you could see a flashing small red light coming from the insect. But only if you could squint. The man smirked on the other side of the computer seeing his victim with the bug’s point of view.
“That’s it”. The man chuckled in a sinister way. “Go in slowly. Wouldn’t want Quirin’s precious son to wake up”. Inclining the Insect closer he pressed a big red button causing the Mosquito to go full speed towards Varian’s arm.
The young man was sleeping so deeply that he didn’t notice the creature inject something into his blood stream, it was poison. But not just any poison, a poison that would slowly kill you. Make you wish you were dead.

The truth beneath the lies chapter 1
"You guy's are amazing!".
Dean could feel the stiffness from his brother at the leader of the Scooby gang's words, his gaze turned to his brother whose hands were clenched teeth grinding against one another.
"Sammy". Dean's heart dropped when Sam stepped away, refusing to meet his brother's gaze.
"Don't Dean, just don't".
Hunched over Sam stalked away from the group, leaving the Scooby gang looking shocked and Dean and Castial concerned.
"Was it something I said?". Fred asked quietly.
Dean let out a long breath that comment sounded so innocent, sometimes he forgot just how much these guys didn't know, even though they knew some of which what the guy's went through every day. But everything, all the pain, the suffering. They knew nothing about, Dean could see which such an innocent comment could through Sammy over the edge. The first thing Leo noticed when they reached Mikey's inner self, or at least where it was suppose to be. This place was dark, cold, lifeless. Never did the Leader think any space in Mikey's head could hold anything but joy. But the moment they reached their destination the brothers knew something was wrong.
This wasn't the imagination that they had just been in, this wasn't the joyful rainbows and weird characters Mikey created in his head. No, this space was just the opposite of who Mikey was.
"Leo where are we?" Raph said in shocked awe, never would he had guessed where his brother's inner self was. Could be so cold, and dark.

Could Adira be varian's mom? If so how do you think it would impact the story.

Could Quirin still be alive? : Personally i think so as my friend made a point a lot of disney deaths you know right away that the character is dead. And it is said several times that they would free him.

Varian possible redemption?: I thin something big will happen to have Varian turn good again. And honestly i think he wouldn't stay a Villian.

Dark king Theory?: Do you think Varian is Quirin's son?: I do honestly cause Rapunzel being the main character i dont think they'd go that much in depth with Varian. And even if he isen't Quirin raised him he is HIS SON. So does it matter where Varian came from.

Do you think Varian is tied to the black rocks, what about the blue streak in his hair.

So many questions what do you all think?

Blood is thicker than water

So seeing people have so many theories about the dark kingdom and Varian not being related to Quirin though i do think he is. I decided to write this fic that Varian is in fact King Edmund’s son. And Varian and Quirin struggle with the outcome as Varian is forced to live in the dark Kingdom. I will say this even if their not related that is his FATHER. No ifs ands or buts about it. I don’t care if they aren’t blood. HE raised him up,  AND HE is the father. Anyway get ready for the feels people because this is one emotional rollar coaster that your not going to want to miss.

Summery:

It was 14 and a ½ years ago tomorrow that King Edmund had asked Quirin and his wife to watch baby Varian, losing his wife was hard. But Quirin had Varian, but tomorrow everything would change. As Quirin would be forced to bring his son to his rightful father, to live for the rest of his childhood.

Quirin & Varian struggle with the outcome.

Quirin walked past his son who glanced at the floor, unsheded tears filling his eyes. He didn’t mean to make a mess of things he never did. He just wanted to make his father proud, for the man to love him. But maybe there was no point. Maybe he’d never get his father’s love. Maybe he should just give up.

Glancing at his father one more time who had threw himself on the arm chair, his head in his hand. Varian quietly made his way upstairs, Quirin looked up at the last minute. Meeting his son’s eyes, the hurt and sadness and something in swirling into Varian’s before he reached his room. Shutting it behind him.

Quirin sighed.

Chapter 2: Regret
Chapter Text
The door slammed behind Varian the moment the door shut the angry expression faded from Varian’s features, morphing into one of pain. Tears welling up in his eyes. He fell to his knees gripping at his hair a soft sob escaping his mouth. He slammed his fist onto his bed breathing heavy.

“Why can’t I do anything right”. Varian whispered arms wrapping around his frame, his gaze landed on some of his blue prints. He reached out hand carenessing the paper. “Maybe, maybe dad is right. Maybe all I do is screw up”.

Leaning up against his bed the younger man pulled his knees up to his chest head lightly laying on them, he never wanted to cause trouble. Ever since his mom died it had just been him and his dad.

They never seemed to be able to see eye to eye, he knew the village hated him. Felt bad for his dad for having such a mistake. His father deserved better, a better son.

Sniffling Varian rubbed at his eyes with his arm, pulling off his boats Varian crawled into bed. Tears soaking his pillow. He pulled himself around his pillow soft sobs escaping his mouth.

“I’m sorry”. Varian whimpered “I’m sorry im such a screw up. I’m sorry that you deserved a better son, and you got me instead”.

The soft knock at his door made Varian stiffen before the man could say a word light engulfed the dark room, prompting Varian to lift his head tears still dripping from his eye’s.

Quirin froze in mid step taking his son’s appearance in, the tears falling from his son’s wide eyes, red rims under Varian’s eyes.

“Varian”. Quirin whispered quietly, taking a step but hesitating briefly. He sat on the edge of the bed furthest from his son. The older man put his head in his gloved hands. “I am so sorry”.

Soft sniffled filled the quiet room Varian rubbing at his nose with his arm, trying to get it to stop running. He settled into a sitting position. He could feel his Dad’s eyes on him but couldn’t bring himself to meet his gaze.

“I’m sorry I always mess things up”. The hollow tone broke Quirin’s heart, “I’m sorry you had to have a son like me”.

“Now stop right there”. Quirin came to his son’s side whose eyes were wide as he gazed up at his Dad. “You may make mistakes”. The man stated slowly. “But I never ever, Varian look at me”. Quirin gently took his son’s chin forcing himself to gaze into his eyes. “Will regret having you as a son. I worry. Some of your inventions are dangerous. I don’t want to see anyone hurt, namely you. You are the best thing to ever to happen to me. I know I don’t say it enough, but I love you son”.

Varian’s breath caught tears welling up his eyes, with a soft sob he lunged forward into his father’s arms, who jerked back for a moment eyes wide. Before tugging his son closer to his chest, eye’s closing.

“Shh, it’s alright, you’re ok”. Quirin rested his head on his son’s mop of hair.

“I’m so sorry Dad”. Varian’s voice mumbled into the man’s chest.

“I know, I know its ok”. Quirin placed his gloved hand on the back of his son’s head. “I’m sorry too I know I can be difficult sometimes. You were just trying to help”.

The warmth of his father’s arms prompted Varian’s eyes to droop, crying that much had been exhausting within seconds, he curled up in his fathers arms. Drifting off to sleep safe and secure in his father’s arms.

Quirin’s gaze fell down at his son hearing the soft snores, his lips quirked into a rare smile. He gently kissed his son’s head resting his on top of Varian’s.

“I love you so much son, I promise ill try harder”. He whispered.

Little did he know soon he would break his promise, and say words he could never take back.
The green eyed monster chapter 1
There’s no doubt that Varian and Quirin have a strained relationship, that over the years the two have become distant. When Quirin comes across a new young man in the village. Varian gets jealous, this guy, this intruder is everything he isn’t. When the 14 year old runs away, Quirin soon realizes just how wonderful of a son he had. But can he make up for past mistakes?, or is it to little to late?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have always loved Varian and Quirin's relationship, and watching more episodes last night. I really got into them, but I think there should be more comfort fluff fics. Thus this was born. Hope you all enjoy it :D.

Varian felt helpless his legs giving out into despair all he could do is watch as his father slowly became incased in the amber, it moved at a rapid yet slow pace almost as if it was taunting him. Tears filled his eye’s bowing his head as he let out a choked sob.

Why didn’t he heed his father’s warnings, why didn’t he listen?

“Varian”. The Teenager lifted his head gazing at his father whose eyes were scared yet something else. Tears brimmed the man’s eyes. “It’s ok”.

Quirin’s heart broke seeing his son so broken, the Amber slowly creeping up the rest of his body. All he could do was watch helplessly as his son broke down in front of him.

What he wouldn’t give to hold his son in his arms, redo everything that had been done. He had pushed his son away so many times, times when Varian needed him the most. Varian wasn’t good at hiding his insecurities despite he tried. All he had wanted was his father’s love, his praise. And he had failed him.

He had failed his son.

“Varian”. Quirin’s voice filled with emotion. “This wasn’t your fault. It was mine”. Quirin closed his eyes for a moment, regret shining in them when they opened. “I should’ve been there for you son. I should’ve told you how much I loved you, how proud of you I am that you never give up despite the odds I”. Quirin swallowed thickly. “Was scared. Scared to lose you. I just wanted to protect you”. The older man hung his head. “I’m sorry son”.

Varian gazed up at his father the regret, the shame and the pain in his father’s eye’s tore him to pieces, he couldn’t let it end like this. He just couldn’t. It was to far to get help from the Kingdom, he would never make it in time. And he refused to leave his father in this state.

“Come on think think!”. Varian gripped his head. There had to be something he could d…. Varian’s eye’s widened as he saw a part of the spark plug sticking out of some of his equipment. His gaze landed on the strip of his hair.

His father had finally came and told him that he posed the power of the Moon stone, that his powers were like Rapunzel’s but polar opposite. Varian reached up gripping the Blue streak, if he could hook up the Plugs to the amber, and one to his hair. Maybe he could…

Varian gazed up at his father who was half way encased by the amber by now, one arm stuck out the other mostly encased. His torso was encased all the way. They didn’t have much time, he just hoped it worked.

“I have an idea”. Varian muttered rushing to his messy table grabbing onto the plug, with a grunt he tugged it out of the mess all the way. Looking at it for a moment. Swallowing thickly he gazed up at his father, whose eyes went wide.

“No son you can’t”.

“I’m sorry Dad’. Varian closed his eyes for a moment. “But it’s not up to you”.

Rushing forward he connected the Plug to the amber, one on either side. His chest hurt as he heard his father’s pleas for him to stop, that he wasn’t worth it. Forcing himself to look on with tearful eye’s Varian finished attaching both Plugs before standing back gaze locked on Quirin.

“Varian”. Quirin’s eye’s had tears in them. “Son. Don’t do this”.

Varian closed his eyes for a moment.

“All I do is make a mess out of things, I try so hard to help people but it always ends up in disaster. You’ve always took the blunt end of my fall. Patched things up with the Villagers. Kept me safe. Protected me”. Varian’s eye’s opened determination flashing in them. “I will NOT sit here and let you be killed for my mistakes”.

Taking a breath Varian gripped the chunk of hair in his fingers, eyes looking at his father who fought desperately to break free from the Amber. Anything to keep his son from doing what he was about to do. Tears filled Varian’s eyes choking back a sob.

“I love you Dad”.

“Varian!!!!”.

The moment Varian clipped the plug onto his hair pain excoriating pain filled him, it was like he was being shocked with 1000 volts, his body felt number. And he felt like the air had been knocked out of him. He could barely hear, his hearing going in and out.

As his father’s scream filled the room.

He felt sick, like he was going to throw up, never had Varian felt a pain like this before. But despite it all he slowly opened his eyes. Which blurred for a second before they straightened out. The fear in his father’s eye’s the frantic movements made Varian’s
heart hurt.

But he would NOT LET HIS FATHER DIE!”.

Fighting off the pain Varian sent a wave of power at the amber, ignoring the way he felt like his head was going to splint in two. His eye’s set on one thing, the Amber that encased his father. Putting his hands down on the ground keeping his weight, he sent another wave of power at the Amber, you could tell on the second one that it was working.

Slowly very slowly the Amber started going in the other direction. He could barely feel his limbs as he moved into a standing position. Going off balance for a sec, before standing his ground. The anger on Varian’s face was almost frightening. All Quirin could do was watch helplessly as his child, his only child.

Took on so much pain.

Just to free him.

“I WILL NOT LET YOU TAKE MY FATHER”. Varian yelled. Hardly able to hear his own voice. Sparks went around the man’s body and within seconds his eye’s glowed Blue.

“LET HIM GO!”.

The last wave of power was so massive so powerful, so full of anger, determination and love for his father. That all the Amber flew back at once, until it released Quirin prompting him to fall to the ground.

The moment Quirin was released Varian felt the energy drain from him quickly his body suddenly feeling like Jelly, he swayed slightly eye’s going back to normal before his body collapsed on him.

“VARIAN!”. Quirin scrambled to his feet mostly only able to stumble over to his son, as his legs forgot to work yet. He skitted to his son’s body hands hovering over his son. “No no no no Son”. Tears came to Quirin’s eyes as he gently turned his son over. Body limp in his arms.

Varian’s hair was slowly starting to stop glowing his features slack, Quirin brought his son to his chest sobs shaking his frame.

“Son”. The gruff man said. “Son I am so sorry”. Quirin lifted his head tears still falling. “I never should have pushed you away. All you wanted was my love, my praise”. He clenched his eyes tightly shut. “I failed you. I never told you how much I loved you,
comforted you when you were down. All I did was point out your faults. You’re an amazing son, you’re bright. Smart and have such a kind heart”.

Quirin swallowed thickly putting his head in his hands.

His shoulders shook as he let out silent sobs, he would never be able to make up for everything he had done. All the lost words that were never said, his son needed him. And in the desperate act to protect his son he had pushed him away. Varian deserved better, he deserved a father who would show him the affectionate he deserved.

He had one job as a father, and he failed.

“D..ad?”

Quirin lifted his head from his eyes tears still dripping down them, he scrambled over to his son almost choking back a sob as Varian’s eyes fluttered open wearily.

“Varian”. Quirin tugged his son into his arms. “Varian your alive”. Resting his head on his son’s shoulder his frame shook as he broke into sobs. “I thought I lost you”.

Varin despite his limbs were screaming wrapped his arms around his father burying his head into his Dad’s shoulder.

“Daddy”. Varain sobbed. “I thought I was going to lose you”.

Quirin pulled Varian back wiping the tears from his son’s face with a gloved hand, he pressed his forehead to his son’s.

“Don’t ever scare me like that again Varian”. Quirin whispered pain in his eyes. “If I lost you I don’t know what I would do”.

“I won’t I promise”. Varain smiled weakly, body relaxing as his father gently picked him up cradling him against his chest, carrying his son like he was a precious bundle Quirin made his way upstairs before gently laying him on the couch.

Stumbling a few times Quirin got a cool cloth before kneeling down next to his son, gently placing it on his forehead.

Varain shivered at the touch, eyes only barley open. A pained wince escaping him as his body gave a jolt.

“You’re going to be alright Varian”. Quirin whispered his gloved hand running through his son’s hair. “I won’t let anything happen to you. Now get some rest. In the morning where going to the Castle to get you looked at. To make sure there’s no side effects”.

Varian nodded slightly careful not to jar his head to much, everything hurt. But fluttering his eye’s open and seeing his father. The gruff protective man who did anything to keep his son safe. He knew it had been worth it.

Shakily he brought his hand out from under the blanket reaching for his Dad’s hand who gripped his son’s tightly, but gently almost as if he was going to disappear.

“Love you Dad”. Varian whispered body deflating with a sigh as he finally allowed himself to fall unconscious, able to finally rest now that his father was safe.

Swallowing Quirin, pressed a kiss to his son’s forehead arranging himself in a more comfortable position ignoring the bouts of pain he felt from his weak limbs. Wrapping an arm around his son’s frame he rested his head on the couch next to his son.

Love you to”.

Keeping an arm protectively around his son, Quirin drifted off. Making sure one ear still listened for anything his son may need. Things would be different, almost losing his son made him realize just how much his son meant to him. He was going to be honest
with him from now on.

Starting with the rocks.
What love can bring oneshot/twoshot maybe

Takes place during the episode Queen for a day, it had only been a week or two since Quirin had told Varian about his moon powers. When Quirin starts getting stuck in the Amber. Instead of running to get help, Varian takes matters into his own hands. Risking his own life to fix the mistake he made.

I may do a sequal of the aftermath of this, let me know if that's what you guy's would like.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was so hard seeing Quirin write that letter and the unfamiliar emotions that registered on the man's face, he really seemed like he regretted some of the choices he made. It hurt my heart to see Varain sing at the end literally got chest pains from it. Thus I had to write this, a fix it death. Varian saves his father instead of him being encased. I might do a part two about when they get to the castle so let me know guys if you'd like that.
