If you want a light spay for fast slice, then flick a dry brush close to the paper. If you need a little more blood then blow the ink off the brush, or flick a stiff brush really slowly.

If you need like - somebody's torso getting cut in half - then you need something more like this. Blow or flick a wet soft brush until you have a good amount of ink on the paper - then take a straw and blow around the biggest ink blobs for a super gory effect.
