The Dying Of The Light - book cover

As a follow-up to my recent commission of this gorgeous work of art from :iconlesoldatmort: LeSoldatMort recently (The Dying Of The Light), I decided to use it to make a fake book cover.

I'd love to someday have the time and patience to actually write a story - a short story probably, although of course a full novel would be even better! - in such a futuristic setting, and attempt to make a relatable narrative about characters living in a universe where all the stars are dying of old age...but I don't know; I doubt I'll ever actually follow through on that.

But just in case I ever do...this will be the cover of my first novel. :D You saw it here first! ;) (Although if I ever did write and publish it, I'd like to credit both the artist and myself under our real names).

Thank you! :D

Now, if this could just inspire me to sit down and write a full original story...! Novels aren't that long, I could read one in like a week. :P

Hehe. I'll admit I admire anyone who has the attention span and dedication to sit down and write a full coherent novel in this day and age. ;)

Well, if I ever manage to go through with it - I'd want to try and get it (self-)published! :P

Doujinshi actually stands for a self-published work, despite the common misconception on the Internet that it stands for fan-comic, or hentai comic. So if you went through with it you'd make an original Western doujinshi novel. XD

I did not know that - my Japanese is limited to konichiwa and sayonara. xD Interesting though, cool! :)

I mean it's not literally what it means: "The term dōjinshi is derived from dōjin (同人, literally "same person", used to refer to a person or people with whom one shares a common goal or interest) and shi (誌, a suffix generally meaning "periodical publication")." But it's used to denote a self-published work in Japan. ;)

Domo arigato. O wait, there's a third phrase I know. ;)
