I'm curious, what marine life exists in this world? Are the great marine reptiles of the Mesozoic still alive or has something else taken their place?

Please allow me to Thank You most kindly for posting such a splendid run of "Creature Feature" content - I do love Prehistoric creatures and I do enjoy a good Alternate History, so seeing a project that combines a little from Column 'A' with a fair bit from Column 'B' with such skill is an uncommon delight!Nod

Out of curiosity, may one please ask if you have ever read Mr S M Stirling's LORDS OF CREATION novels? (One must admit that reading through his IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KINGS and then seeing your own work made me suspect that very few, if any artists would be better-suited than yourself to illustrate that very Alien yet oddly familiar Mars).

Memo Kosemen tipped me off to one of those books, which i read most of - those are more advanced versions of the edgar rice burroughs universe, right? (And sorry for taking months to reply - i dont use deviantart very often so the backlog gets too deep to delve into!

My dear fellow, please don't worry about it - you are a working artist and Real Life must always come first! (as for the LORDS OF CREATION novels they are certainly Mr Stirling's attempt to play in a sandbox inspired by old Planetary Romances like A PRINCESS OF MARS, while deploying toys based on the latest scientific thinking to add fresh flourishes of novelty).Nod

I have to say that it was your work on PROPHET that made me think of your art and Mr Stirling's Mars as a very natural combination: both feature strange, unnervingly biological technologies and a strong sense of something very Alien wrought from raw material of Terrestrial origins.

Admittedly I'm a lot fonder of his version of Venus, which has a stupefying wealth of prehistoric wildlife and absolutely NO creepy, creepy living technologies (I'm quite convinced you'd be an equally inspired choice of artist for THAT particular Death World too).

Ah, damn. Now I feel like I'm plagiarizing your ideas since we got the same concept in mind... being dinosaurs never faced the meteorite extinction.

yeah lots of people have taken a stab at this - dont sweat it!

A movie was made with the same concept. And it's rather good. :)
But the idea has no copyright, no need to feel guilty for anything.

So did any of the Ornithischians manage to survive or only the Saurischians ?

How many millions of years after what we know as the late Cretaceous does this take place? Also, will you be adding more?

Question: Without the K-T, pterosaurs would likely not have gone extinct so that begs the question: Who rules the air in this world?
