In my case..I have to ask, if it's your own base or your own creation, is it alright? I mean it's not recoloring if it is your own stuff.

Your own stuff is your own - you hold the copyright and can do with it whatever you want.

This is about people who grab images from Google and then use them as stock with copyright to Google in ther manips.

1) Google is not a stock site like Shutterstock etc.; Google is a search engine.

2) Google doesn't hold the copyrights to the images shown in any search pages.

I'm glad I could ask this question, because someone called an image I did a recolor even though it's my own work. And yeah, that is annoying.

Yeah, most people do not understand what copyright is and what it means, unfortunately.

That's sad.

I love it.

I ask your permission to use it on my blog.

Fine with me. But you may want to change the copyright to "2012 ongoing", otherwise you'll be changing the end year on a regular base, except there's a possibility that it changes automatically like it does here on deviantart

Yea ! "I got these images from Google" lol.. someone else still made it.

Yeah, the darn misconcept of "it's from the internet, therefore it is free" plus no idea about copyright........just wait until someone steals their work - the outcry will be terrifying!

ikr
it's so sad.

I need to add this stamp to every stock group I admin! As well as the Disney Groups... gah! Am so tired of seeing submissions created with screenshots or just plain screenshots... the bane is all the groups that allow such trash into their groups and end up in my message center :shakefist:

Feel free to do....
I need to redo this stamp - something like Google Images is not a stock site/provider.

Screenshots is a whole other problem, should probably make a similiar stamp.

I added the Google stamp everywhere I could think of!

A stamp talking about screenshots not being stock would be good

I'll add that to my urgent to-do list.....have something else in regards to this topic? let me know, maybe it'll turn into an animated stamp then.....

Just wrote a nice journal at my stock account about TOU and linking to some other important stamps - consider me pissed off....

Some people are unbelievable!!!

I did read it! I hope I haven't activated a print on any stock I've used of yours :fear: :paranoid:
Sigh. Rarely do I ever sell anything. I wish.

Relax, hon. I know if that would be the case it would be just a mistake.....

:phew: It would be... I don't make too many prints. A while back dA had a "stock to print" contest and I went crazy making stocks prints in hopes of winning something, but alas, I did not win

I usually do not win either.....when I enter whatever contests (not that I do it often...)

This fits PERFECTLY in my situation. This chick stole this guy's art off of Google Images, and she said "Oh, I didn't know it was STEALING!"
:iconbonbonplz: :iconsaysplz: WH-Wha... I didn't put those in my bag!

Yeah, the usual lame excuse everyone gets to hear when confronting thieves, although most of the time they do indeed know that they're doing wrong. But they think noone will notice and they can get away with it, cause all others are definitely not able to use a Reverse Image search.... :ohmygod:

And the funny thing is that she left the guy's signature on it, said in the comments SHE KNOWS it isn't hers... just that she DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO DELETE IT. XDDD
