How to Host a Contest
I love contests. As much as I like entering contests, I love hosting contests even more. Here's a guide to help you host your own contest. =] Theme Pick a theme for your contest. Your theme can be as vague as a general photography contest, or something specific such as a monochrome contest. Be creative and use your imagination as themes of a contest can be anything. Portraying The World: Macro

Our next topic is Macro! Now this is going to run differently than our Landscape selection. Each artist may submit as MANY photos as they would like. We will be choosing the BEST 50 MACRO photos submitted. You must submit your entries in a note to <a href=”portrayingtheworld.deviantart.…>~Portrayingtheworld
With the title MACRO SUBMISSION.

Now for those of you whom do not know what macro photography is, here is a little description taken from this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macro_ph…

Macro photography refers to close-up photography; the classical definition that the image projected on the "film plane" (i.e film or a digital sensor) is the same size as the subject. On 35 mm film (for example), the lens must have the ability to focus on an area at least as small as 24×36 mm, as this is the size of the image on the film. This is known as "life-size magnification" or simply 1:1.

For examples click the link metioned above!

Thanks to =Miladydaisy for helping us select the next selection theme!
