How in the actual hell is your art so consistently amazing? And could you perhaps divulge your influences and such, so that I may assimilate them into my very being?
Ammendments: I found out the Gorillaz videos I liked best were directed by Robert Valley, but his best work was still with Jamie Hewlett's comic tell-apart designs. And I would probably replace the placeholder candy cane with Ed Benedict and Homestar with the Eraserhead baby. Lauren Faust's MLP work and Osama Tezuka are great influences for cute girl things. And Al Hirschfeld or Eric Goldberg belong on there somewhere.
I would have never said this back then, but the generic plastic doll from every anime ever is popular for a reason, and bits of it can be used to great effect on pretty girl characters, with some soft vector lines. Same thing for Generic copy-paste DC hero man, with some angular sketchy stuff going on. Depends on the narrative.
