Aww, me glad to hear that! I always afraid to critique others although I've seen some fixable things in the pic. I fear people won't happy with my own opinion when say someone's work not the best. ; ;
For first, I sometimes out of the main focusing in the pic too. I think if you like to present more of character, your character in the pic maybe big as about this danbooru.donmai.us/posts/15930…
or if you prefer to pop more background attention, it's fine with that size or smaller for character within. And yeah, for this case I think if there're something on that wall like placard papers, window, or even some rifts or cracky-line on wall can be help too.
Aha, water is really hard to work on too! I'm not sure about the way for still water. But I have a tutorial for ocean surface, I hope it can be help. fav.me/d47k9io
Oh I think I saw it! The shadow. But from my point of view, I think It should more darker. At least, darker than this to stand out from that floor she sit on.
Aww, I'm glad if this can help! My very pleasure! ^ ^
For this pic, I must say it's really great done! Especially on those far background things. But From my point of view, dear. I think there're too much blank space over the character. It maybe better if you capture the character more larger or if you intended to present the background. Then Just put something there to reduce the blank space.
For the next thing, I think it's should be great if you spend more attention to those water surface. Try to find some tutorial which work out or spend more effort to paint a more clearly waves. Those reflect looks great enough!
Additionally thingy, don't forgot to paint the shadow from character to the scene! under her seat should got some I think.
It's not so many times I write a critique to someone here, Tsuri. I'm very sorry if there anything wrong or if it's against your mind. Just my own opinion, I would like to help you since there was a critique request available here. ^ ^
